I am actually hunting for LI cordless grass trimmer, saw Bosch got a model ART 23 LI Combitrim like below

but waited 2 years, belum reach Malaysia yet, the one with powerline is too hassle to trim, then found out makita's one review not bad, not sure about the pricing.

My New House Journey- Defects Checking>Reno>Hurray

Just have my free time and finally I sit down to write this thread to share out my new house journey. Seriously, I am glad that lowyat members over here all are willing to share. You all really shared a lot of info about house reno thing, where to buy cheap staff, what to do and etc...

Special thanks to aaronpang for the Home Defect Rectification Post! it really help a lot especially for newbie like me Really learnt a lot over there. Thanks to bro weikee and zheilwane who shared a lot of info over this forum too!

It is a big time for me during the defect rectification, especially on the hollow tiles checking, I will op for checking it by using coin as the hollow tiles will be very significant if you know it by using coin/hard object. Other than that, before getting key, should always go to have a look especially during raining as that is the best way to detect roof leakage.

Downlight Quality Concern

Hi all, reading through several downlight related threads, found out no one mentioning the downlight quality issue as I think it might not be a big concern/big deal until today I took some sample downlights from a shop and I found out these. Kindly refer to the photos below for much better illustrations and elaborations.

You all may quite familiar with this design of simple downlight I took 2 samples which are size 4 inch and 6 inch.

Before we install the downlight together with reflector, we should see something as above which are the downlight casing(the white ring) + supports(the black frame). When I have a close up inspection on the quality suddenly found out that the 6 inch one quite abnormal

there are additional unusual holes on the casing as in the photo above.

another close up on the unusual holes. This might not be a big deal as when you fix the reflector, everything are covered up. But I am just curious is this suppose to be on the 6 inch downlight?

seem like there is a missing support as the additional holes are actually used to fix the 4 supports instead of just 3? as below

Other than that, I felt like the supports are forced to be fixed on the 6 inch frame until they are deformed to be out of shape as below

I took another close up inspection on the 4 inch one, everything nicely done without additional holes or out of shape

Sharing is caring, just to share out and see any sifus here are actually know about this or not, dont shoot me la ok? Just FYI, I quoted a few shops for this design of downlight and this shop is selling the cheapest among others. Therefore I would like to ask about the unusual thing as above as I was thinking that this is the reason for the shop to sell cheap

Aspire 4920 + Acer H233H Resolution Problem

Hi all, looking for help for my graphic display problem. I am using my Acer Aspire 4920 laptop to output the display on my Acer H233H. I face some problem on setting the Native Resolution.

This is my graphics card information

which I think it is the latest one as i downloaded from intel website yesterday.

The native resolution stated is 1920 X 1080 however when i try to set the resolution, there is no such setting to let me choose that. Some more when I am trying to use the Acer eDisplay Management to set the resolution, the "Preferred" button which is used to set to the Native resolution is greyed out. Any comment ?

Hi all, I am quite new to computer, today when I tried to install and play SF4, an error msg box pop up with title of Fatal Error and msg "Failed creating the Direct3D device"

I am playing it in my laptop Acer Aspire 4920
Spec
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7500 (2.2Ghz 800Mhz FSB, 4MB L2 cache)
Mobile Intel Grapics Media Accelerator X3100
RAM 4GB
DirectX 9.0c

any expect can advise? or is it my lappy not support the game? haha TQ
