Condition: No fungus. AF broken, Automatic Aperture control broken past 28mm, Some chipping on front element

Others: Lens is really sharp stopped down. Despite all the shortcomings, this lens works pretty well if you treat it as a manual lens (Using M mode on your DSLR). Repairs can also be done, i bet it should be easy as you only have to replace several circuitry in the lens itself without affecting the lens's optical performance. Oh btw, this lens should autofocus only in motorized bodies.

[WTS]Sigma 70mm-300mm 4:5.6 DL

Up for grabs is a Sigma 70mm-300mm DL for canon EF mount. Everything is ok with this lens except from a little fungus and the fact that it constantly spams your digital EOS body with err 01. Due to some incompatibility issues, Aperture control does not work on digital bodies.

FIX: JUST TAPE THE LENS MOUNT TO PREVENT ANY CONNECTION WITH THE BODY. THEN USE IT AS A MANUAL LENS.

ive recently bought this lens, a 28-90mm canon EF from a nearby pawn shop and it wont autofocus when used on my 1000d. can you guys help me with this? i really want to experience the USM... Btw im open to breaking it if needed. doesnt matter anyways since i got it for less than rm50.

Do you guys know how can i improve myself? My current gear is a 1000d, kit lens, the nifty fifty and several tripods. I dunno what am i doing wrong but all of my pics wound up to be either blurry, over/underexposed or just plain boring. Can you guys recommend me ways on how should i train myself to be a good photographer?

if theres an exif on this image, it should show that i used an 8 sec exposure, 200iso and f16.
why? because i cant afford proper studio lights or even a table light for that matter. i got some lights but its usb led and it drains power from my pc so much it disables my ext drive for use.
so my solution?
just put it into long exposure while shooting indoors, turn on the flashlight on my phone and.... bathe my subject with light...
as you could see from image 2 theres some light trails on the taillight and in my previous experiments, light trails on a reflective subject is a common issue...

so what do you guys think?

hi everyone, newbie photographer here. i am currently into product photography and im trying to capture my subjects in low light with no flash. i usually do this with point and shooters and due to its light weight, i can expose the photo for more than 2 seconds in low iso and got crisp, sharp images. but now, as i have moved on to dslrs, doing this is almost impossible to me. no matter what i do, if the exposure is a second more, even on a tripod, the image will be blurred out [slightly]. is there anyway for me to solve this? Ive already tried the mirror lock function but its not working.

Btw my current gear is Canon 1000d and the kit lens... cheap stuff i know but im trying to make the best out of it.

Pay rate: Rm4 per hour in seremban, elsewhere probably more. Less if the restaurant is privately owned [buying the license from mcd to open your own mcd. ex: the one in port dickson] ~rm3.50 per hour.
Average working hour: Depends. for new crew members, its usually 4 to 6 hours
Availability:All year long
Payment method: bank in thru maybank account, at the end of the month. ALWAYS LATE.
Uniforms: provided. hats, shirts, pants and belts. cuts rm40 from your total pay.
Work environment: You will be taught to work in all stations. First timers will work at the lobby, mopping, sweeping, clearing tables, wiping windows, cleaning toilets, stocking sauces and taking out the trash. Tiring work but little surveillance from the managers. Working at the kitchen however is less tiring but more frustrating since the managers will keep and eye for every single move you make. you will be frying the chicken burgers and stocking all the necessary supplies if you're a batch cooker or assembling the burgers and frying the beef burgers if you're on assembly. The counter is usually manned by underaged employees (16 to 18) or seniors (40 to 55) also tiring work since you have to handle the costumers and make desserts for them. Beware of slipping and other kitchen hazards once you've been assigned in the kitchen. wear non slip shoes and check your insurance just in case.
Allowances: Night shift and overtime only
Free meals?: yes. two seperate menus are given for those who work less and more than 4 hours.

Pay rate:Rm5 per hour
Average working hour: 6 to an astonishing 18 hours. Could be more if you want to set a world record.
Payment method: Cash or through vouchers that allows you have to collect your pay every week. Vouchers expire after two weeks.
Availability: All year long. they ALWAYS need people.
Uniforms: Provided by the housekeeping department. Only the shirt and the apron is given. Have to return back after work hours.
Work environment: Wear comfortable shoes since this job will destroy your soles. It can be super tiring since youll be lifting chairs, moving stages and carrying hundreds of plates around and wiping them. Get ready to sweat like theres no tomorrow because this job requires extensive labour and walking around. However, this job makes time fly and you can barely notice it since each and every function only lasts about 3 hours.
Allowances: none. theyll cut your pay by an hour if you work less than 12 hours and 2 hours if you work more than that though.
Free meals?: The canteen allows you to eat all you can eat and its Hotel Food! Poorly prepared and some of them might be leftovers but hey, theyre free.

Im doing this in black and white bcos i will photostat copy a lot of em. Its a small booklet, about 12 pages total where i will separate each 14 to three parts and bind them together. It discusses hobbies, weird stuff(from the net) movies music and etc. 2 pages are reserved for adverts. Each copy will be distributed for free and published once per week. So what do you guys think?

P\s: First page starts with the arrow and ends with the stencil. These are the final print, Albiet rushed.
