Hi guys (calling all 80s and 90s kids), I put together a video that include all the things we grew up with in the late 80s and throughout 90s.

I hope this video takes you down the memory lane and recaps those things we used to love.

IKEA Cheras - BAD Delivery SCAM. DO NOT USE THEM!

Hi guys, I am writing this post to share my recent IKEA experience, and warn all of you who might consider purchasing something from Ikea (- Ikea Cheras in particular), that they have failed miserably in their services. Buyers beware.

Long story short, I bought RM6200+ of furniture from them, and used their delivery services. On the supposed delivery date (4/1), they failed to deliver my items - NO SHOW, NO CALL. Imagine sitting like a dumb man at home waiting for them whole day, only for them to FFK - without even informing you.

Worst still, their hotlines are impossible to get to. To talk to their rep requires luck, and a lot of your phone credit. It's worst than AirAsia hotline or government lines.

After I managed to reach one CS rep, he said they will send again on another day (6/1 noon), he assured me that the he "will make it happen". So I took another day off and waited for them... This time they won't fail me right?

Right?

NO, they did it AGAIN, NO SHOW NO CALL. For the second time!

Words can't describe the time and days they have me wasted, inconvenience they have caused me, and my anger. Fool me once shame on them, fool me twice even bigger shame on them.

I also noticed that they removed some of the complaints from earlier posts. One post had about 38 comments, but now only down to a few:

To recap on why is this a big deal:

1. You paid IKEA a lot of money for their products, then paid for their delivery service. Now they are holding your properties and you are not having them.

2. On the delivery date and time, they did not show up. They did not even have the courtesy to call you.

3. Everybody tried to call them through customer services, but failed to get them (or extremely difficult to get them).

4. Most people like me who disposed furniture are living without the new furniture, because of their incompetency. I even paid RM180 to dispose the furniture earlier because the charity donation collector cannot collect my furniture before the Ikea's delivery date. I could have given to them for free on Friday.

5. We wasted leaves and waited whole day like an idiot, don't dare to go anywhere - all because we want to wait for a truck that never shows up. Did the same foolish thing TWICE.

6. Ikea has the courage to repeat their mistakes twice and failed in subsequent delivery, they don't take you seriously and gave you empty promises they can't fulfill.

7. YET none of them reached out to me about this matter, NONE, no one call me proactively. I have to pin them down.

8. I logged an email ticket, that gets no response.

9. They blamed it on system, have they ever heard of "stress testing" the system before go-live? and a thing called Plan B? They also have not made any public announcement about it despite so many users being affected.

I did finally get my furniture but it was the third attempt after an incident escalation, imagine those without case escalation, still waiting like a dummy?

IKEA you are such a disappointment, my neighborhood furniture store could run a better delivery service than you.

All IKEA buyers be warned about this, I suggest those who have not got their items to file a tribunal case against them.

Developers that never (or rarely) dissapoint

Hi guys, just want to generally survey on which developer you think has never or seldom disappoint with their products and delivery.

Meaning the products that they delivered are defects minimal, facade are delivered as-is from brochures (if not better), amenities, roads, access are all according to master plan, and in the end their products usually appreciate really well and buyers are happy. In short, their products are consistent and buyers are confident and always keep an eye on their new launch.

There are many developers out there who often promised sky high attraction and ended up never deliver, well you know the stories. There are also developer who were used to be good, but subsequently failed to deliver in their following products (Bolton, Symphony?)...

A few nominees for the good bucket (but feel free to argue if i am wrong) could be Trinity Group, Exsim, Mah Sing, SP Setia (debatable?), Sime Darby (debatable?), Eco World (too new to rate?), and **you name them**.

When you give your input it would be great to also state the products/examples to support your statement.

Street Figther 4 - Seth

Okay, I am still in the progress of unlocking characters. But this bugger always get in my way.

I agreed with the saying that Seth has a bad case of

"SNK boss syndrome"

he teleports around a whole bunch, just to get behind you and grapple. he constantly bombards you with sonic booms if you stay back, then when you go forward, he shouryukens you then does that ridiculous enhanced Zangief super Air grapple.

and OMG I hate hate that bloody washing machine in his stomach too, constantly being sucked into it for a quick wash and got finished off with weird looking face sticked to the screen.

I have yet to spend a lot of hours on SF4 but i only managed to beat him with Zangief and Ken in about 4 Arcade attempts. I gave up with Viper after a countless attempt:

There is no obvious solution or tips found on beating him as I read, skills and reflexes matter. So I just want to find out what you guys think bout him.

Xbox Wireless Controller on PC (Windows XP)

Good day mates.

I read in a few articles and learned that the Wireless Xbox 360 Controller might actually work with Windows XP.

I have googled about it. Well, the catch is, some claimed that the default controller (that usually comes with the console) doesn't work for PC, one has to purchase the controller that explicitly stated "Works for PC and Xbox 360" to be compatible. Wired controller on the other hand, is compatible with Windows by default.

While, I have also read that Microsoft had released a windows driver that will make the common wireless controllers that doesn't initially state compatible with Windows work on PC. But then they were debating if the driver only works for wired controller.

Well, my guess is that it is a fake that wireless one could work with PC. Anyone can clear my doubt?
