i'm scratching my head on 2 type of date representation system which is date since 1970 and date since 1900, i've found out that the date since 1970 is used by java and most other scripting languages.

my problem is i have date in long type which is in the format of date since 1900 and i can do the conversion using oracle sql : select to_date('19000101000000','YYYYMMDDHH24MISS') + (3409037727/60/60/24) from dual

anybody know how to convert 3409037727 (num of sec milisec since 1900) in java or perl ? for java it only accept milisec since 1970 not 1900.

if i misunderstood the concept please explain to me thanks alot for anyone can help.

Creative Gigawork 5.1 G500

Hi, there has not been a thread on G500 yet, users of it let's start talking anything regarding the speaker.

I've just bought it at pc fair to pair to gather with creative audigy 2 nx usb. the sound was so wonderful, the woofer is incredible strong which i don't believe before purchase. it must be paired at least with an audigy card only can carry out the power of it.

The bass is so strong and i don't put it too near to wall but keep a 60cm gaps between so that i can feel cleaner bass from it.

Personally i bought it for music listening and movie(watching dts audio dvd) as well. sound produced from 5 satellites are not too sharp and pretty same feeling as my home hi-fi speaker AXIS brand. Bass is soft, and it's capable to handle rock to sentimental songs well.

i'm just made a right choice, those interested on G500 may ask question over here and we just together make this thread rock and informative.

Specifications
310 watts total RMS power

* Front : 36 watts RMS per speaker
(Measured @ 8 ohms @ 10% THD @ 180Hz to 20kHz, two channels driven)

* Rear : 36 watts RMS per speaker
(Measured @ 8 ohms @ 10% THD @ 180Hz to 20kHz, two channels driven)

* Center : 36 watts RMS
(Measured @ 8 ohms @ 10% THD @ 180Hz to 20kHz, one channel driven)

* Subwoofer : 130 watts RMS
(Measured @ 6 ohms @ 10% THD @ 35Hz to 180Hz, one channel driven)
620 watts total Peak Power

[addedon]April 10, 2007, 4:50 pm[/addedon]wah no other G500 users at all ?

http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Reviews/Pr...ArticleId=15205

by referring to this link, i personally just bought 2GB 60X card brand apacer, tested the write speed is 2.7MB/s and read speed is 5MB/s only which the reading speed supposed to be 9MB/s and about 5MB/s for writing.

anyone has same card can you test it out? and verify that apacer fool their customer with false information (60x and 150X).

I'm coding on MFC using c++ and have the following problem:
a main frame containing menu with 2 child frame inside. whenever i click X button on child frame, my code will check whether it has been saved and then only exit inside the OnClose() function in CChildFrame class.

now if user press X of the main frame one, OnClose() function inside CChildFrame class will not be called. how should i do so that when user press X of main frame window and i'll promt a message box telling them if they haven't save their document?

n73 music edition 2GB card very slow

the 2GB card of n73 ME seems very slow. the most noticeable state is when i change my sms memory to memory card instead of phone memory. i've benchmarked the card and result shows me 3.1MB/s writing and 4.5MB/s reading

my question is will it improve my phone's performance (sms, etc...) if i replace it with a faster performance card? cause i'm not sure the sms slow is because of the card or not. anyone can point it out ?
