What macbook should a chemist get?

Hye all,

Firstly, Im sorry if i started a thread in the wrong place but i seriously dont know where to post this topic.

Well, I'm a Masters student doing chemistry and am considering a Macbook. Ive heard of high compatibility with softwares, no viruses running on Mac OSX and the great design. I'm very mobile since I cycle to the lab each day. And due to that, I am considering a laptop for work (and a lil bit of gaming at work)

Referring to the question, which macbook should i get? I will be doing a lot of reading and writing, statistical analysis, chemistry related imaging (ChemDraw) and analysing pictures, spectrum and graphs. Is there a macbook that may suit my needs?

I dun think that i wanna go for like a dell or HP cuz ive used one of them and they tend to really overheat, run on windows so prone to viruses ruining my data etc. And a laptop worth the buck that will last me 4-5 years.

hye all,
i dunno if this is the right place to ask this question, but is there any gud places to learn martial arts, preferrably close to shah alam.
kick boxing, muay thai, aikido, dun matter as long as it gives a good sweat. any reccomendations?? or is there a way to learn at home?

and another one is, is it great for losing fat and building muscles?? cuz i dun see any fat martial artists other than sumo wrestlers..lol

hye all,
i am curious on the power supply needs for a crossfire setup. the hardware configurations are:

Intel c2d e7400
Asus p5q pro
Gigabyte HD 4850 Zalman 512MB
Corsair xms2 1GBx2 2GBx1
cooler master extreme power plus 460w
320GB HDD

i am concidering a crossfire setup for i am very keen in joining folding@home by Stanford university. so, my question is, would a 460W PSU be enough to support a crossfire setup?? the option to add another GPU wud also be the same GPU already used.

why is everyone into aluminium casings? i have no clue why.. and i would juz want to know. well, all i know is aluminium is lightmeight. thats all.. in terms of build quality, that must be referred to the design. well, i don't understand...

hye everyone. i'm pretty sure that a lotta ppl are surfing LYN in search for help in building their PC. some are the casual gamer and some are overclockers..

and to build a pc, what is important is the motherboard. thats where all the other parts stick to in the computer. ryte?

i am intending on building a pc with a very tight budget. i don't want to compromise on the GC. so i wud wanna have a decent mobo to fit the parts i'm interested. my budget is below 2k. the lower the better.

its either on deciding the combination of the Abit AX78 with the phenom triplecore or the Asus P5KR with the e7200.
any other ideas guys?

hurm.. i've had reccomendations on this particular mobo. the Biostar TPower I45. but i cant find it on the pricelists. can anyone out there help. i would wanna know abt this mobo, the performance and especially, the price!!!

i m considering of building a new pc. what mobo wud be the best? it must be cheap but not as cheap as chips. hahaha!!

any suggestions are good. and i hope this topic can help those people with shallow pockets who want the best of what is limited to us can get.

i am considering the

ASUS P5KC combomemory for its ability to do crossfire and can support DDR3.

and what about:

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3 its a lil pricey but is it worth it?

the things to consider here are OCing, gaming and upgrade-ability..

i am intending to build my PC. this is my first pc build. and unfortunately, i am very VERY tight on the budget. i would want to play games on it like crysis and DMC4. i got my setup like this. but i would want advice on a good cheap graphics card. please help!!
and i would also want a good PSU recommendation. good overall performance and reliability. the budget is restricted to below rm2000. need money for monitor as well....
anything which you guys need correcting, feel free to post and criticise. hehe
