What inspires me to learn Data Science?

Based on the movie Moneyball (actor Brad Pitt, released 2011) based on an adaptation story was written by Michael Lewis 2004 New York Times bestseller, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game book. I'm have learned Python language but getting a job in Python a programmer seem to scare for web development (client and server), mobile apps and game development (Desktop, Mobile) mainly because the Python language was not the preferred choice for new project development. Motherboards with virtualization BIOS support

I'am aware that the CPU need to be VT support and that can be easily lookup from Intel web site. However, I find it difficult to look for motherboard with VT BIOS support on motherboard manufacturer website even with EFI BIOS or convention BIOS. For that matter most Xeon base server motherboard BIOS support VT and it heavy on my budget.

For example the Intel i3-2100 (VT feature), I will be looking for LGA 1155 type of motherboard and which motherboard BIOS support VT? Any right direction to find such information or you have visited motherboard manufacturer website that provide such info?

Of course I hv done googling..

USB Adapter for Xbox

MY legacy Xbox has reach it shelf life for Xbox games, and not getting any commercial value for it or left it collect dust. Might as way, in some ways ti can be of good used, if I can get it working with Linux (xubuntu).

Before, sourcing it from oversea reseller (HK, ebay) for the above item, it would much affordable to get these accessories locally.
I'm look for local reseller who have the above Xbox accessories, in-order for me to have PS2 keyboard/mouse connected to Xbox to install/operate Linux.

Last year Germany pass the law on ban of create or distribution hacking tools, I know "The hacker choice aka THC" update their website to two version (Non-German and German) to avoid prosecution by German law..

Since, I posted some info about OSS hacking tools in this forum, its my obligation to inform you to check your Notebooks (with Linux Distro) does not contain any of hacking tools installed and LivdCD such as Backtrack 3.0 LiveCD should you visit any of these countries to avoid any confrontation with law enforcements. (when ban becomes effective May 2008)

Malaysia Law has similarity of UK, maybe this news may initiate Malaysian Govt to study such initiative ...

Many ppl has me ask about Falcon Chip Set and how you can identify your X360 box has such chipset installed and Falcon chipset seem to consumed less power and generating less heat (maybe MS resolve this problem of 3RROD problem lately). A plus for gamer who played long hours, could see some saving of electricity bill..

Zenmap (NMAP's NEW GUI)

Nmap is most used pen-test tools by security community and the movies (The Bourne Ultimatum, it was used hack mail server of "The Guardian UK"), this new release with new GUI. Those Linux distribution using RPM package management can download the RPM package and try it.(I hve not tried it).

Anyway I using the tarball source, download the nmap-4.50 tarball file and follow the compilation step (quick easy) most problem comes when the installed Linux distributing omit the development package (likely to happen for desktop installation methods) but sometime missing the libraries files can cause compilation to failed. Details of compilation is provided on the web site or read the INSTALL text file on the nmap-4.50 source directory.

I'm using Ubuntu 7.04 desktop with development packages installed, works fine.. (I did remove the nmap-4.20 and nmapfe-4.20 package before working o new nmap-4.50)

LYN Members, if you are interested to learn about IT security, you should check-out this website.

Damn Vulnerable Linux (NOT a LiveCD) designed is based on BackTrack2 (most popular security penetration LiveCD) but it run on VMware player, just download the "zip" file which is about 1.GB (3 hrs to download for 512K link) and unzip DVL zip file to your 1/2GB thumb drives or hard drives.. I prefer to use a thumb drives when working on a remote site (you can work longer hours with your notebook, hard drive spin drain battery power). When you have unzip the DVL files on your local folder, load the VMware Player and open the DLV vmx files..everything to access the contents are on the first page (username and password plus the preference choice of GUI (KDE, flux, Xorg..).

Check-out the website for podcast (plenty of videos, it covers from programming assembly, C++, rootkit, reverse engineering, malware, ...etc)..
