1tb WD External HDD recognized but wont open

All of a sudden since yesterday my WD external HDD (1 terabyte) wont open. It was working perfectly fine before this happened. It is recognized by the computer (Disk Management) but i'm unable to open because it does not appear in "my computer". I tried to fix this and recover my data by : ( http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f16...ter-194492.html ) but after step-E i got "read error" at step-G and i'm unable to continue. I dont want to loose the data in my HDD. GUYS HELP!!!
