Mini Freezes on my comp

I've been experiencing mini freezes on my laptop and its very annoying . Just wondering if it has anything to do with lack of memory or something?

Here are the specs for my laptop:

T2050 @ 1.60 ghz
1.49 gb of ram
80 gb harddisk.
Intel accelerated graphics card.

Please tell me if I you need any further information to diagnose the problem. I am also wondering if it could be the lack of responsiveness of the mouse. Anyone can help me diagnose?
