Xiao Mi Mi6 AP Set Screen Repair

Anyone knows where I can fix the screen for the Mi 6 AP set for cheap? Authorized service center said it costs RM550 to replace but they don't repair AP sets... My phone is only slightly more than 3 months old and the touchscreen suddenly stopped working =( apparently touchscreen warranty for AP sets is only 3 months.. and the shop I bought it from quote RM800 to repair.. Almost half the price of the phone.. I'm damn pissed now that such thing isn't covered by a one year warranty.. phone never been dropped or kena water..

Motorcycle hit car... whose fault is it?

Basically my dad got into an accident with a motorcycle where the motorcycle tried to squeeze in the gap on the left but failed and hit my dad's side mirror as seen in the picture attached. This should clearly be the motorcycles fault as my dad should have right of way to turn left without having to look out for speeding motorcycles trying to overtake on the left.

HOWEVER, when my dad went to report police, the sergeant said it was my dad's fault, stating that my dad left too big a gap between the curb and the his car, making it big enough for a motorcycle to fit. As such, the sergeant wanted to issue a summon to my dad. What kind of stupid reasoning is that???

My dad refused to take the summon. So the question is, clearly the fault lies with the motorcyclist as my dad has the right of way, so what Malaysian road law covers this topic? NO WAY should there be a law that requires a car on the left lane to constantly be aware of incoming motorcycles in narrow gaps on the left right?

Kia Maintenance Cost Expensive (Myth or Reality?)

I am planning to get a Kia cerato, and have been hearing left, right and centre from ppl that Kia maintenance and parts are very expensive, and resale value is poor.

I am guessing I won't have much to worry about during the warranty period, but what about long term? Will I have to burn holes in my pockets in the future just to upkeep the car or is this just a perception that people have from Kia's older models?

Looking for mechanic to inspect used car

I am currently interested in a kia cerato (reg. dec 2013) from a used car dealer. But I need a help from someone who can recommend a mechanic who can help inspect the car and check if got in accident before.

The problem is the dealer don't let me take the car out of the dealership, so the mechanic have to come to the dealership at Jalan Klang Lama, next to Federal highway and the LDP "Penang Bridge"

Can anybody help me with this? Hopefully can check on this Monday, then I will put down booking fee d.

Searching for a good field for night play

So, a group of friends and I have been playing this game called ultimate frisbee for a while now, See: Ultimate Frisbee. We've been playing at nights on a well lit tennis court. However, we want to move to a bigger field which is where it's supposed to be played.

So the question is, does anyone know of a well lit field that is in good condition? ie: no holes, not muddy and no shit all over.
The size should be suitable for a decent football game.

Most of us are in PJ, around the SS2, Damansara Utama, Damansara Jaya area. So I need suggestions of fields we can play on at night. The closer to this area the better.

How much is the new Logitech G27 steering wheel?

In the US, the new logitech g27 wheel takes over the same price point the g25 once held. So is that the case in Malaysia too? As far as I know, the g25 was selling at around 800++. Also I am wondering if the existing stock of g25's has dropped in price due to the new g27 being introduced and phasing out the g25. Anyone can quote the prices for these two wheels?

Cancelling long exposures

I have a Canon 1000d, and I'm wondering if there is a way to cancel, say.. 30 second exposures or any other lengths of exposure, midway through the exposure. I hate it when I try taking photos, and realize just after pressing the button that I made a mistake and have to wait for the exposure to complete before being able to take the next photo. It may only be 10 to 25 seconds each time, but it all adds up.

Problem with point and shoot camera

Hi all,

I currently own a Casio EX-Z500 which I bought in 2006. Lately, my camera has been having problems with the photos it is taking. As you can see from picture1, outdoor photos with bright light appear washed out and overexposed with horizontal lines running through the entire photo. Picture2 shows an indoor setting where it does not look as overexposed, but still has the same amount of horizontal lines running through it. Picture3 is a crop of picture2 that shows off the horizontal lines a little clearer.

From my observation when the camera was working properly, I noticed that when the shutter button is pressed, you can see the shutter closing and a distinct but soft 'click' sound can be heard if used with the flash off (the flash is too bright to see the shutter movement and creates a sound that is too loud for the soft clicking sound to be heard). However, after the problem occurred, there seems to be no visible movement behind the lens and the clicking sound cannot be heard anymore after the button is pressed. Therefore, I think the problem has something to do with the shutter.

However, there has been instances since the problem occurred that the shutter seemed to work (saw it close with a clicking sound), and the image turned out normal with no lines running through it at all.

Everything else on the camera works perfectly, including the video mode which does not seem to suffer any quality problems nor the same horizontal lines running through it. I am wondering if you guys know what the problem is and how much it would cost for repairs.

VERY very bad case of DUST on the sensor

Hi, I need some advise on sensor dust problem. as you can see from the picture below, it is very bad. It started with only a few specs of dust. since I just got a blower, I tried to use it to clean the very first time. Little did I know that there was dust IN the blower, which resulted in the picture below. The problem is, eventhough the blower is now free of dust, the dust on the sensor is stuck on it, and blowing does not help anymore. Is there anyway to clean this without sending it to a shop? I am studying in new zealand, and there is no canon service center where i am. Thanks
