wta, i plan to rent in kepongmas with basic unit, without fan or light advertised at rm800/month. With fan and light its 900/month. If i buy 5 kdk colored ceiling fan + 6-12 led light that would cost not more than rm1k. If I stay atleast 3yrs, i would save rm2600 on rent.

I'm a diy enthusiast, if i install fan + light + water heater + kitchen cabinets + almari + tv rack, and dunno if years later wanna move out i take all back with me will be a good choice?

The electrical I'll also do. Fyi, kitchen cabinet probably ikea metod system. Since 25years warranty, i can do the assembly/diassembly myself since melamine counter top quite cheap for 2.8m long.

Changing career to software engineer

Hi all. I'm changing my profession 2.7years exp of process engineer to software engineer aka programmer. I got the job offer and slightly lower salary in mont kiara area as i would be working as fresh/0 exp.

I need help in this area:
1. Consider to rent nearby place below 1k/month for whole house as I'm married but budget wise 700-800
2.if any programmer would suggest me how to pick up thinking logic or programming logic, im not from IT?
3. Where to eat budget-ly at that area?

Fact:
1. I would be tumpang my friend house for 2months, and transport using motobodo
2. Investment/risk, i would lose more money for first few months transitioning in - but the company honored my 2months notice and giving chance for me to learn from scratch
3. If i can pickup the skill, i will have 2 times appraisal to bring up to my current salary, and second appraisal to bring up to my total working exp.
