Need help for my pc!

Hi,

My pc is getting some very annoying problems lately and I dont know what is the reason for it.

When I launch any not-so-often used programs or when I uninstall these kind of old softwares, my pc tends to 'freeze' for 10 to 20 minutes, then only the selected program will launch or the uninstall will start. I also face this problem when installing new softwares or games to my pc. When you click install from the autorun window or the .exe file, my pc will start to 'freeze' again, then after 10 to 20 minutes, then only it will start. During this 'freeze' session, I can still move my mouse cursor and use other software but it will be very slow and it will start to 'freeze' also until the program that I launch earlier starts to run.

I have already -
1 Run a full scan on my pc with KIS
2 Defrag the HDDs
3 Check every possible error with my pc including the registry with Fix it Utilities
4 Run CCleaner

where all of them above show no any signs of error. There is no problem with my pc's heat as its always in between 45-60C. I'm using a Quad i7 with 4gb ram running on XP SP3. My OS is installed on a separate HDD and I usually use another HDD for dLL or gaming.

BTW, is this problem got anything to do with my Kaspersky Internet Security settings? I'm using the 2010 version now. Take note that I havent tried disabling my KIS for the above matter. This 'freezing' problem only started recently where I only use my pc for gaming and I try not to re-install my OS as if I have to, I need to re-install my steam client as well where it will take a very long time to apply all the updates for my steam games.

Well, since the old thread has almost reached its max post count, I'll just close off that one and start a new one here.

As metioned earlier, not only GUNDAM talks will be involved here, but also other well-known mechas like Macross, Robotech, SN Aquarion, Eureka 7, AC, Patlabor, NGE etc. Not limited only to modelling kits - resin kits, MSIA, die-cast, gashas, trading figures - anything to do with mechas are welcomed. Feel free to discuss, enquire or post any of your Gundam or mecha(s) collection here BUT strictly no anime or OST related issues to be discussed in here.

Well, I think its time to unleash one of Malaysia's most yummy, mouthwatering dish here. Let's start to fantasize together about this dish, imagine you are slurpping the hot, sour soup filled with huge chunks of fish, cucumber, onions....... whatever.

I usually will wait for my manager to go for his business trip to Penang to get my stock of asam and curry laksa. I'm not sure where, but its around Pulau Tikus - sold by an auntie (she also sells roasted peanuts + ikan bilis BTW). Other place where I go to satisfy my hunger is at a pasar malam around Taman Bukit Angsana (if I'm not wrong) in Cheras.

Asam Laksa, Curry Laksa, Laksa Kedah.... come on and start the feast here
