Call Of Duty : Black Ops 2 : V1

::SORCE::

It’s unclear what is said underneath the date, 13.11.12, which reads in a European format. The Black Ops 2 logo looks typical and unvaried from the font and style of the original Black Ops other than the “2″ being orange.

Also leaked on the same forums is what appears to be an entire list of brand new multiplayer information. This ranges from new game modes, perks, equipment, weapons and attachments. You can compare it to some of the multiplayer information we gathered earlier. Check it out as listed on the forums below:

-Game Modes-

Escort ~ A game mode in which you escort a player across three flags to achieve victory. The enemy team killing the player will result in a win for their side.

Split Spawn ~ A game mode in which you spawn from a hellicopter, and climb down to get to the ground. The player starts with 3 lives. One player can control the chopper to let you climb down in different areas, as well as shoot from the chopper. If the chopper is destroyed, players can no longer spawn. Players compete for a central flag that takes 2x as long to capture than a regular domination flag. Either the death of all opposing players or the capturing of the flag will grant you a win. This game has 2 rounds.

Equalizer ~ A game mode in which players are switched to the enemy team upon death. Players will compete for a flag, which when owned, open up a power plant to allow the player to customize their class in game, get new weapons, and put on a juggernaut suit for their team only.When there are 2 players left on a team, they are granted with the power plant automatically, and pointstreaks up to a 5 point requirement can also be obtained. If either of the two players die, they will remain on their own team. The team with the most converts (kills) at the end will win. If tied, whoever is currently owning the power plant will win.

-Perks- (Only new and modified!) (Perk slot not yet defined!)

To clarify what elite is, it is a side-pro perk you can choose when leveling up the base perk. These elite perks ONLY work if paired with another BASE perk.

1. Spy – Appear as a friend on the map. (Disadvantage is, you’re always spotted even without a UAV, and when shooting, you turn red on the map)
b. Pro – Detect enemy spies. They will still always be spotted on the radar.
c. Elite – If Pilot is active, your airship will be marked as an ally.

2. Escape Artist – When going prone, you feign death (You cannot shoot during)
b. Pro – When approaching death, the enemies crosshairs will turn to white, and your name will dissapear.
c. Elite – if Diver is active – You realistically fall into your feign death instead of diving.

3. Audiophile – Players with silenced weapons will show on your radar if they are shooting at you or close around you.
b. Pro – Footsteps are louder
c. Elite – If bladesman is active – kniving will show up on the radar

4. Defuser – Throw all equipment but cookable grenades up to 2x farther – a hollow circle will show up around your crosshairs, and the circle will fill in 3 seconds. When the circle is full, it will throw 2x farther, when it is empty, it will throw 1x as far.
b. Pro – Be able to take semtex off of players and throw them elsewhere, and be able to pick up any enemy equipment and use it as your own.
c. Elite – if quickdraw is active – the circle will fill in 1.5 seconds.

5. Juggernaut – Regenerate health faster while moving
b. Pro – Regenerate health faster while crouched
c. Elite – If scavenger is active – you are able to drop ammo packs for your team.

Side note: Earlier, Treyarch Developer David Vonderhaar did mention that the next Call of Duty would not include regenerative health perks.

6. Diver – You can dive into cover (A.K.A. Dolphin Dive) – and while diving you can still shoot, however when you land it takes awhile to regain focus.
b. Pro – You crawl 2x faster
c. Elite – With Extreme conditioning active – You can sprint while crawling to crawl faster (3x) instead of getting up.

7. Pilot – Your flying killstreak’s kills will count towards your next killstreak.
b. Pro – Your controllable flying killstreaks will last until they are shot down.
c. Elite – With blind eye active – Your uncontrollable flying killstreaks will not show on the map.

8. Technician – Any land killstreak’s kills will count towards your next killstreak.
b. Pro – Your Advnaced UAVS will disable the enemies UAV
c. Elite – If defuser is active, your sentries cannot be taken down instantly.

9. Bladesman – You have 2 knives in each hand instead of just one in one hand. (This essentially makes knives kill twice as fast.)
b. Pro – You have a chance of dodging the incoming players knife.
c. Elite – If assasin is active – kniving will be completely silent and not show on the killfeed, unless countered by audiophile elite.

10. Conciousness – While standing, you are just as accurate as when you are prone
b. Pro – Your bullets cause more flinching.
c. Elite – If marksman is active – shooting your enemy will mark him on the mini map.

11. Focus – Be able to shoot while sprinting, even at the deduction of accuracy.
b. Pro – Be able to shoot while jumping, even at the deduction of accuracy.
c. Elite – If stalker is active – when jumping, equipment does less damage to you.

12. Deep Impact – Your bullets shoot through hard surfaces.
b. Pro – Your bullets gain 50% damage with each person they go through.
c. Elite – if steady aim is active – when hip-firing, your bullets have 10% more damage with each person they go through.

-NEW!!-
–Knife Melee Slot–

1. Default Knife – Takes 2 swipes to kill, you need to put it away, and take it back out like usual.
2. Tactical knife – Takes 4 swipes to kill, as long as you are pushing the melee button however, it will keep knifing
3. Tactical hammer – Takes longer to get out, takes 4 swipes to kill, you need to put it away and take it back out like usual, but against riot shields and machines it takes only 1 swipe to destroy.
4. Throwing knifes – Start with 4, fast to get out, fairly accurate, but takes 2 to kill and is ranged
5. Tomahawks – Start with 2, slow to get out, fairly innacurate, and takes 1 to kill and is ranged
6. Ballistic knife – [Disallows use of equipment] – A tactical knife in one hand, while a ballistic knife is in the other. You start with 2 ballistic knives, and they kill in 1 shot. These knives take a moderate time to get out. (With Bladesman on, you start with 3 ballistic knives and one ballistic knife in each hand.)

-Guns- (More than EVER!!) (These are the ones announced or finished so far)

Assault Rifles: AK74, Ruger Mini-14, Type 65, Valmet M76, M70, R1 Rifle, Commando, AR-18, Valmet M60, AKM-63, AMD-65

Submachine Guns: Mp5SD, PA3(DM), SW M76, Type 64, UZI, Mini-Uzi, AKS-74U, Mac 10, MPL, Ares FMG

Shotguns: Model 590, Model 1300, Model 1100, Spas-12, CAWS, Stakeout, Saiga-12, Striker, Featherlight

Sniper Rifles: Psg-1, PSL, SVD, Model 700, M76

Light Machine Guns: Type 67, Enfield L7, M240, AS70

Pistols: M973, Steyr GB, Skorpion, MEU, Python

Explosives: SA-7 Grail / 9k32 Strela-2, Stinger, FIM-43 Redeye, Arwen 37, M26Grenades, HG 84 Grenade, M67 Grenade, Sticky Grenade

-Attachments-

Attached Weapon Rack (Weapons attached to primary for quick weapon switching) (Only works when paired with pistols)
Attached Pistol (For snipers only)
Attached Shotgun (For Assault Rifles only)
Attached Bayonette (For Assault Rifles and Snipers only)
Laser
Red dot sight
Reflex scope
Thermal Scope
Acog Scope
Extended Mags
Dual Mags
Rapid Fire
Grenade Launcher (Grenades drop significantly more)
Grip
Perfected Ironsights (Ironsights that make it easier to see your bearings)

PSN ID ONLY
1- MELEE_51
2- IchigoYakuza
3-gaox8322
4-SubconDC5R
5-Solsa_
6-Adryan_90
7- leepast
8- Storm2502
9- Mr_Estee
10- nitin_o
11- choontoy
12- longxotaku
13- uGinn
14- winterfblood
15- mdakiz
16- Bestdo
17- sa12ad
18- yenzz24
19- Amerjimi
20- tiga2ringgit [important player]
21- Ozawa_Lain
21- Iria_Lain
22- Batu_wan
23- Furi_Kuri_Lain [a.k.a Elainash]
24- Akumoha
25- COMMANDER_ST_29
26- nairus
27- werksucks
28- NEOARDI
29- nOaEe-x
30- half_fish
31- noruazumi [ no need to add this guy hes gonna jump ship]
32- xGalgirlx
33- akiraceos
34- leaalucard
35- demoned92

Call Of Duty: MW 3 Discussion Thread (PS3):V2

About MW3

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (abbreviated as Call of Duty: MW3, or just simply MW3) is a first-person shooter video game, developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, with Raven Software having assisted in development.[7] It is the third installment in the Modern Warfare series, a direct sequel to 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and the eighth Call of Duty installment.

The game was released on November 8, 2011 in North America on Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, with a separate version for Nintendo DS developed by n-Space. In Australia, the Wii version was released on November 23, 2011. In Japan, Square Enix handled the installment with a separate subtitled and dubbed version, as they did for Call of Duty: Black Ops, released November 17, 2011 and December 22, 2011 respectively. Within 24 hours of going on sale, the game sold 6.5 million copies in the U.S. and UK alone and grossed $400 million, making it the biggest entertainment launch of all time.

Game Play

Like its predecessors, Modern Warfare 3 is a first-person shooter video game. Activision confirmed at Gamescom 2011, that Modern Warfare 3 on the PC has dedicated servers support.

Campaign

The player assumes the role of various characters during the single-player campaign, changing perspectives throughout the progression of the story, which, like its predecessors, is divided into three sets of missions called "Acts". Each mission in an act features a series of objectives that are displayed on the heads up display, which marks the direction and distance towards and from such objectives. Damage to the player is shown by the percentage of blood splatter shown on the screen. The player's health regenerates over time. Mission objectives vary in their requirements, ranging from having the player arrive at a particular checkpoint, to eliminating enemies in a specified location, to standing their ground against enemy squadrons, manning mini-guns and other weapons, and planting explosive charges on an enemy installation. Some of these objectives can be failed, and may or may not hinder progression of the story. The player is also accompanied by fellow soldiers who cannot be issued orders

Multiplayer

The new "Recon Juggernaut" Pointstreak reward in Multiplayer Mode.

The entire Killstreak reward system has been revamped. Killstreaks are now known as Pointstreaks, and kills are no longer the only way to increase the player's pointstreak. Completing objectives such as planting the bomb in Search and Destroy or capturing a flag in Capture The Flag awards points towards the player's Pointstreak. Pointstreak rewards are organized into three different "strike packages" called Assault, Support, and Specialist.

The Assault strike package works the same as the Killstreak reward system in Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops: the player must earn more and more points without dying. Once the player is killed, his or her points are reset to zero. Likewise, the Specialist strike package rewards players with perks after every second consecutive kill. Upon death, however, the player loses all the perks and the points are reset to zero. In contrast, the Support strike package are awarded based on the total points that the player has earned over the entire match, regardless of how often the player dies.[17] Players are allowed to choose which Pointstreak rewards they want to use when they gain it during the match, rather than choosing them between rounds.

Along with revamping the entire Killstreak reward system, Modern Warfare 3 also has a completely modified Ranking and Unlocks system, which does not use a currency system for unlocks. The player's primary weapon levels up alongside the player, and unlocks a number of "Proficiency" perks such as Attachments, (allows two attachments and is a successor to the "Bling" and "Warlord" perks), Kick (reduced recoil while aiming down the player's sight) and Focus (reduced flinching while under fire). Only one Proficiency can be put on a primary weapon. Another new addition is the ability to equip "Hybrid Scopes" on a weapon, such as a Reflex Sight a magnifier similar to an ACOG on the same weapon, and the player can switch between the scopes. Modern Warfare 3 introduces a new "Prestige Shop" which will unlock only after the player has selected the option to prestige for the first time. The "Prestige Shop" allows Prestige players to use tokens they gain from using the Prestige option to buy exclusive features such as double XP and an extra custom weapon class.

Several controversial perks in Modern Warfare 2, accused of being overpowered, have been removed in Modern Warfare 3. Diving from standing to prone, known as "dolphin diving", has been removed due to balancing issues. Modern Warfare 3 will utilize Treyarch's hot fix system to fix bugs and glitches. Modern Warfare 3 features a local and online split-screen option.

Several new game modes have also been added:

•	"Kill Confirmed" requires players to collect floating dog tags from the corpse of a downed enemy before the kill can be registered. However, the opposing team can pick up the dog tag as well to deny the other team of a kill.
•	"Team Defender" requires both teams to try to capture a flag dropped by the first person who gets killed when the match starts, and hold it to gain double points per kill while the team without the flag only gets the default amount per kill.

Private matches also now include pre-made game modes including: "Infected" (where the infected kills enemies to recruit them to their team), "Drop Zone" (where the player must hold a drop zone for points and care packages), "Team Juggernaut" (each team plays alongside an AI Juggernaut character), "Gun Game" (be the first to get one kill with every gun in the game), "One in the Chamber" (in which players are only allowed one pistol with one bullet and three lives where they can only get more bullets by killing other players), and "Juggernaut" (free for all against a juggernaut, kill the juggernaut to become it). Along with this, players are allowed to create their own game modes with customized settings such as number of players and time limit.

Special Ops

The Special Ops game mode from Modern Warfare 2 is present in Modern Warfare 3, and includes new features which make it more repayable and similar to other game modes, such as Nazi Zombies from previous Call of Duty games, and Hordes from Gears of War. One of the changes makes it easier to unlock new Special Ops levels, which is good for casual players, but undesirable for those looking for a challenge. The two main Special Ops modes include one that is generally the same from the last Modern Warfare game, and a new wave based game where the player is inserted into a multiplayer map alone or with a single partner and defends an area against waves of enemies. Between waves, the players can buy support options with XP earned during each round.

Call of Duty: Elite

Call of Duty: Elite is a new free/subscription-based service developed by Beachhead Studios for the multiplayer portion of Modern Warfare 3 (as well as the previous installment in the series, Black Ops). The free version includes features such as lifetime statistics and social-networking integration. To avoid spoiling the experience, I'd wait for the real reveal."

We expect to hear more at this year's E3, taking place June 6 - 9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Original Story: Kotaku has posted a large amount of information on this year's Call of Duty game, claiming the details have all been verified by anonymous sources. Players will have the ability to structure their games at all new levels of granularity.
From variables as simple as Time Limit and Score Limit, or as deep as which weapons, Perks, and gear is available. You want a Pistols Only match? Make one! No longer do custom game modes rely on the “honor system”.
Furthermore, any Custom Game you create and configure can be placed in your File Share, for friends and the community-at-large to browse, download, and enjoy.
You just might create the most addictive new game mode of all time from the comfort of your own living room!

In-Game Friends List
We’ve integrated a built-in Friends List into the in-game User Interface. You’ll be able to browse Recent Players, Friends, navigate their File Shares, Recent Games, Combat Records — all within this in-game menu system designed to streamline the social process within the game. Sending game invites and joining Friends’ games has never been simpler than in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Regional Matchmaking & Party Privacy
Call of Duty: Black Ops will support regional matchmaking filters on a global scale. So, no matter where you’re at in the world, you will have the ability to specify whether you want to match with players from other geographical regions, or only those local to you.
This will make communication and lag a much less intrusive variable on your gameplay experience.
Additionally, given Black Ops will support joining games in progress via an even simpler built-in in-game Friends List interface, we’ll allow a Party leader to lock down his lobby to Invite Only, Friends Only, or even Close it altogether if he wants to be in complete control over who enters and exits the Party Lobby.

Emblems Do NOT Reset with Prestige
This one is pretty cut-and-dry — a frequently asked question is, “Will my kickass emblem I spent hours perfecting be lost when I prestige??” The answer is, “NO!” — Emblems are one of the only aspects of Black Ops MP that do not get a full reset upon entering Prestige. Things that will reset when you Prestige are: XP, COD Points, Challenge progressions, Loadouts, etc.

There will be 15 Prestige Levels in Call of Duty: Black Ops’ multiplayer. This is more levels than we’ve ever had before, increasing by 50% on the last three Call of Duty games, previously at 10. To counter this though, there are fewer levels per Prestige cycle than ever, 50 levels, down from Modern Warfare 2′s 70 levels, so it should take around the same amount of time as previous games to reach the maximum Prestige Level.

Rank Rewards and Unlocks

Player Rank - Unlocks

4 - Create a Class
5- Contracts
6 - Clan Tag
8 - Game Mode Challenges
10 - Killstreaks, Killstreak Challenges, Playercard Emblems
13 - Combat Record
15 - Medal Challenges
16 - Gun Emblems
19 - Gun Tag
20 - Elite Challenges
22 - Camo
25 - Custom Reticules
28 - Custom Lenses
30 - Final Challenges
31 - Facepaint
50 - Prestige Mode

Prestige 1	Prestige Leaderboard, Custom Class 6
Prestige 3	Custom Class 7
Prestige 5	Custom Class 8
Prestige 7	Custom Class 9
Prestige 9	Custom Class 10
Prestige 11 Face Tattoos
Prestige 13 Clan Tag Colors
Prestige 14 Golden Camo
Prestige 15 Prestige Playlists

--

Hardened and Pretige Edition

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Activision announced two collector's editions for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Sony Online Entertainment's stated goal is to make a different kind of MMORPG, with The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction cited as one of the main inspirations for gameplay. SOE is working to make DC Universe Online more interactive than standard MMORPGs, while trying to keep their key elements, which include a leveling system, raid instances, endgame progression and inventories. The world is mainly shared, public space instead of heroes or villains owning territory. The public space features dynamically-generated content designed for both hero and villain player characters (uniquely created by the player, who cannot choose DCU stalwarts).

Players will choose a mentor for their character (such as Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman for heroes and Lex Luthor, The Joker, or Circe for villains). Their starting location, principal quest rewards and mob loot will be influenced by that decision. The starting zones are either Metropolis or Gotham City, for both heroes and villains. Heroes can also go to the Justice League Watchtower, while villains can enter the Legion of Doom headquarters. Other zones can be reached by teleporters from the two faction headquarters.

Each character is given a communicator appropriate to their faction, via which they receive urgent communications from their mentor and his/her colleagues and subordinates; heroes will frequently receive status updates from Oracle, while villains will receive data from The Calculator. In addition to assignments from their mentor, player characters may also receive requests for help from other mentors of the same faction. Player characters may also accept missions from non-player characters (NPCs) in the street, usually minor characters from their faction. There are also opportunities for quick street encounters appropriate to the character's faction: for example, a hero character may encounter a thug robbing an armored truck, trying to break into an office building, or in the process of mugging a citizen; while a villain character may be presented with opportunities to assist NPC thugs with an armored truck robbery, or assault a citizen using an ATM. All NPC interactions are fully animated and voice-acted. Player characters will earn threat ratings that will cause NPC heroes and villains to interact accordingly with the character.

The shared worldspace offers primarily solo and team player versus environment (PvE) gaming opportunities in the form of open air missions and instances, although player versus player (PvP) combat is also possible in this worldspace. Other PvP (and to a smaller extent, PvE) gaming is available in various types of queued instanced encounters: "Legends", small scale PvP combats in which players take on the identities of iconic characters (continued success in Legends combat unlocks additional iconic characters); "Arena", small scale PvP combat in which players fight as their own characters; "Alerts", cooperative team missions; and "Raids", large scale PvP combat between teams of opposing factions. Success in PvE missions is rewarded with in-game money, costume pieces, equipment and consumables, while PVP combat is rewarded with unlocks of special equipment sets.

Newbie Guide

I decided to make this guide to help players who are new to MMO's or any online RPGs in general. Early on in DCUO, for character levels 1-8, it may not matter as much to get serious about grouping. If you are playing just to test the waters and mess around a little bit, then you probably won't need this guide since that's just not your gaming preference.

This quick guide will go over the basics of party dynamics and good team strategies that your fellow team mates will appreciate, and naturally take on much tougher enemies who you'd otherwise fail to defeat. This becomes more apparent later on when you hit around lvls 15-20 in the Alerts. Maybe even earlier. It depends on the player. I'll will try and keep this simple and as in general as possible so there is room for opinion. This is just from my perspective, and experience. Ok, so let's start...

Oh, and before I begin, let me remind all of you passing through to please vote up or down on this post so it gets the attention by the people who need this info the most. Thank You.

A list of some terms ahead of time so you know what they mean down the road...

BUFF - Positive status effects casted on you by you OR by someone else. Usually on for a duration or just turned on. These effects can make you do more damage, regenerate health or regenerate power. Depends on what class you or the other persons are.

DEBUFF - Negative status effects casted on you OR on your enemy. Usually on for a duration. These effects can make you/enemies do less damage, have less health as a %. Depends on what class you or the other enemies are.

DOT - damage over time

AOE - area of effect. example: an explosion doing splash damage. it can pertain to buffs aoe or debuffs aoe too.

REGEN - regeneration of mana or health.

HOT - heal over time.

TANK - a hero who's main role is to take damage for the team. The wall, the first line and main line of defense.

LVL - what character level you are.

AGRO - aggression. threat level, the ememies attention to a team mate.

ADD - a respawned or wandering enemy who jumps into a fight unexpectedly. "Oi, we got 5 adds behind us!"

INSTANCE - a generated place for the group to privately explore. usually indoor by apearance. alerts, raids, duos(?), Arenas are all instances.

1.) CHOOSE YOUR ROLE (Class) AHEAD OF TIME

What do you want to be? DEFENDING, HEALING, CONTROLING? Note: Play as a Role that you would have the most fun being, obviously.

2.) GROUP DYNAMICS

Once you start playing the harder/higher lvl modes in DCUO (Alerts, Raids, Group PVP.), you will have to play in full groups or raids to be effective completing the missions that give the most gains in terms of experience or loot. To have an effective group you need one of each class type working together in a synergy that is not only effective, but very fun to be a part of! It basically works like this... A.) Tank << B.) Controler << C.) Healer. Note: this can be improvised with some other combination but I am going over a tried and true dynamic. It totaly depends on situation and whats available.

A.) A Tank is built to take the most damage so that the Healer only has to heal 1 group memeber. AND, keep all enemy agro (attention) to the Tank. The Tank pulls enemies to itself and keeps them on him at all times while the Healer keeps him alive.

B.) This is where the Controler can help as a primary or secondary task depending on the situiaton. Which is, power regenration. This power "regen" helps the whole team (most importantly the healer) so the team as a whole can keep casting more powers and survive longer. Controlers also stun/distract/encase tight groups that might be surrounding the Tank which in turn alleviates the Healer from healing too often and going zero on power meter. Stunning/distracting/encasing a Tank's attackers will drasticlly reduce damage being pounded into the Tank.

C.) The Healer that heals one player (Tank) uses less power than the heal that has to heal the whole group. If the power runs out on the healer, then the tank will most likley die and the team as a whole will follow suit, like a stack of cards. The healer also can buff allies to regen health among other things that benefit the tank or whole group.

A+B+C Battle plan Summary...

Tanks grab/pull enemies to the group and keeps pounding AOEs and/or (if implemented soon) Taunts. The Controler quickly steps in by "locking down" the battle with stuns/distractions/encasements. The controller makes sure the least amount of damage is being done to the Tank through crowd control and debuffs. Also to help keep everyone's power meter filled as much as possible. All so that the healer's job is less stressful. The Healer will keep a vigilant eye on the tank as a priority with the readyness to see that someone else's life is in danger and will quickly adjust on the fly.

3.) ANGER MANAGEMENT

Everything you do as an aciton, even if its a heal or a buff on a team mate, will cause the enemy to AGRO you more. That's ... short for "aggression". Tanks need to keep all AGRO at all times or else, like I mentined above, the healer will waste too much power, too fast healing too frequently. So, be aware that: Heals, Buffs, Debuffs, Punches, Kicks, Attacks, slightly brushing up against, all draws AGRO. If DCUO follows other MMO/RPGs, then heals are the most hated. I've heard Controlers' debuffs/buffs are the most hated. I am not 100% sure in this area. This is one of the most nuanced aspects of AGRO managment. Knowing when you have to take it easy on causing more agro than the Tank is. The Tank doesn't have to worry about this. The Tanks job is to take/genrate all the AGRO and then some. All with a smile on the face asking for more. Keep this in mind.

4.) SITUATIONAL / TACTICAL AWARENESS

I can't stress enough how important this is once you understand the group dynamics. Important things to consider and be aware of at all times...

A.) Postioning - Always fight from the outside area in. Never drop down in the middle and start hacking away. You'll hit respawns or adds and it can be a matter of life and death at that point.

B.) Enemy Types - Example: can Enemy-X pull you towards him? Very important to know which enemies have the nasty stuff. If you unexpectedly get pulled deep into a group where tactical positioning becomes compromised then death will be there to greet you with open arms.

C.) Watching Each Others Back, Communicating - Always. Look. Eveywhere. lol. Get me? Look all around while fighting just to make sure nothing else wanders into a fight. Inform the proper role that X is about to happen and be ready for it. Give a heads up. This all seems like a no brainer, but to a beginer in a really hard battle, you might not be thinking about it. Start forming this habit early on. Don't forget to keep an eye on the chat box too, just in case someone doesn't have a mic on. Or it glitchs out.

D.) Enemies Respawning Rates - Good to know if you are fighting in the same area when other competing groups are present. Just a general idea works wonders. Note: May not matter (probably won't) in Raids or any other Indoor (instanced) missions as enemies don't repawn indoors as far as I know.

E.) Power Interactions - A few powers have, in thier description, power interactions which are how they interact with other power effects that are still present on an enemy target. Example: If Ememy-W is frozen by Power-X, then Power-Y, will cause Explosion-Z to happen, hurting other enemies around the target. So, if you know what Class Roles are in your group ask which powers they use and coordinate a combination of power interactions to get the most bang for your buck. You can also create your own power interactions by picking the right powers in your Loadouts.

5.) ETIQUETTE

Everyone is a link in a chain and getting long with everyone is very important. Be pollite. It's crucial to leave arrogance, vanity and all that crap in the kiddy corner when playing in groups. Anyone can run around spamming powers very quickly, my granny can do that. What skilled players really appreciate are how well you played your role to make each memebers time playing that more enjoyable and maybe finding new friends that last throughout your time with DCUO.

As for group loot, NBG (need before greed). follow those rules and people will respect you for it. Don't need it? Pass it. Wan't it anyways? Then greed it. "Pass" option will always have priority over greed. If your team mates see that you chose "Need" on an item that isn't even for your class then that will have a negative effect on how others see you in thier group if someone else needed it. That could cause problems down the road. This is a social game if you choose to play in groups, and repuation is everything... and it has to be earned. People will remember you especially if you piss them off. It's a smaller world than you think.

Closing Notes: I didn't mention a damage role as a fourth class since since DCUO allows all classes to be damage type. In my humble option, I feel that right now playing as your pure class role is far more effective than just the damage role in a group dynamic. IF, and I stress IF, you manage your power pool properly. Keep in mind that in damage role you miss out on a lot of debuffs/buff and major power interactions between your other group member's status effects, or your own. Which in turn can produce far more damage as a group.

---------------------------------USB KEYBOARD----------------------------------

To those who want to use USB KEYBOARD here some guide provide by darkplacid @ IceEgde

1 = L2+Square
2 = L2+Triangle
3 = L2+Circle
4 = L2+X
5 = R2+Square
6 = R2+Triangle
7 = R2+Circle
8 = R2+X

J = Journal
K = Power, Skill, Loadout
N = Renown
H = Headlines
I = Inventory
M = Map
O = Social
P = Loadouts
T = Switch roles (after level 10)
Y = On Duty Menu (Arenas, Legends, Duo, Etc)
C = Collection Sets
/ = Renown (again)

Enter =Quick Chat

Chat commands. (enter before typing a message)

/tell or /t <charater name> sends a private message to the player
/group or /g or /p [message] - Group chat
/invite <character name> will send an invite to another player
/kick [name] - Kicks person from group/raid
/leave - Quit a group
/league or /l <text> communicates to your league channel (if your in one)
/shout <text> shouts the text to zone

More tips. Here is for items colors.

Tier 1/Light Blue/Common: Common Drop, also easily found on vendors.
Tier 2/Green/Uncommon: Uncommon Drop.
Tier 3/Dark Blue/Rare: Rare Drop. Final bosses or end of a storyline reward.
Tier 4/Purple/Legendary: Ultrarare Drop. Some final bosses, raid dropped or found in raid equipment vendors.

Here are stats information.
Power is your blue bar that depletes when you cast spells. (Below Health)

Health measures how long a character can withstand being knocked out (KO) during combat. Represented via a bar, once a character's health reaches zero, they are knocked out until a set time elapses, after which the player can chose to either revive their character where they were knocked out (if another player has revived them) or revive them a set distance away from where they were knocked out. Health automatically recovers when out of combat.

Power is required to use a character's powers and is drained as they are performed. Power builds during weapon attacks as shown by the hit counter; Power also regenerates slowly out of combat.

Defense reduces damage from non-player enemies; the higher your level, the more defense is required.
1% damage reduction = 15 Defense (Level 1) and 71 Defense (Level 30)

Might increases the amount of damage that a character's powers can inflict.
4 might =1% base damage.

Restoration increases healing as well as the regeneration speed for Health.
4 Restoration =1% base healing increase.

Vitalization increases Power healing effects.
10 Vitalization = 1% Power generation increase.

Precision increases a character's accuracy, enabling them to hit more frequently and adds damage to all weapon attacks.
10 Precision = +1 DPS

Toughness reduces damage inflicted by player characters. The higher your level, the more Toughness is required.
1% damage reduction = 15 toughness (Level 1) and 71 Toughness (Level 30)

Dominance increases the number of health points lost by a target before a Control effect ends. At high levels, Dominance must be higher than enemy Willpower to be effective.
2 Dominance = 1 additional damage before control breaks.

Willpower determines a character's resilience against Control effects.

So,

Here are the stats for recommended for roles.

DPS Spell (Power + Might)
DPS Weapon (Power + Precision)
Healer (Restoration + Power)
Tanker (Defense/Toughness + Vitalization)
Controller/Support (Power + Dominance)

OR

DPS Spell (Power + Might)
DPS Weapon (Power + Precision)
Healer (Restoration + Power)
Tanker (Defense/Toughness + Health)
Controller/Support (Vitalization + Dominance)

Since there are 2 types of defense, tanker must be able to change stat for PvE and PvP efficiently.

The dev team went the extra mile to upgrade these maps with the amazing graphical and audio improvements that Black Ops brings to the Call of Duty franchise.

And it doesn’t stop there.

Dive to prone to avoid those meat-bags’ deadly swipes.

Listen to Tank Dempsey and his band of zombie exterminators rattle off their killer one-liners in Nacht and Verrückt.

Pop open the Mystery Box for a plethora of – wait for it – some of the deadliest weapons that Black Ops has to offer! You read that right – AK-74u’s, M-16’s, RPK’s, Spas shotties – and those are just the tip of the iceberg.

Now you can roam the asylum, swamp, and factory and fend off those maggot-sack hordes with some serious firepower. Need a little more oomph in the later rounds on Der Riese? Activate the Pack A Punch machine and upgrade your Black Ops weapons into some of the most devastating weapons the Call of Duty franchise has ever produced.

So grab the Hardened or Prestige Edition to add 4 more Zombies maps to the full Black Ops co-op experience. And for those of you who missed out on the original World at War Zombies maps, this is your chance to see what all of the Zombies buzz is about.
Custom Games Info

Custom Games Editor
Private Matches have never been this customizable.

BRINK

::BRINK::

Brink is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Splash Damage set to release in Q4 2010. It offers team-based multiplayer missions with authored narratives, persistent player characters and an approachable nature. It is also developer Splash Damage's first original title as past titles were part of franchises.

In Brink, two sides, "Resistance" and "Security", fight in the outskirts of a utopian city known as The Ark, a floating city surrounded by the waters of a flooded Earth. The Ark was designed as a prototype of a perfect city, with renewable resources and no pollution, large enough to support 5,000 residents. Its population has grown to 50,000 however, leading it to the brink (hence the name of the game) of a civil war.

Technology

Brink's engine is based on id Tech 4 with a new rendering framework and improved support for multiple CPU cores

Gameplay

Brink is a first-person shooter which features the SMART (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) Freerunning System. In a similar manner to Mirror’s Edge, SMART lets players maneuver around environments in dynamic and unique ways all based on player position and immediate need. It has a story mode which can be played cooperatively online in missions with up to 8 players. Players can create custom characters with additional rewards bought with experience points. When joining a game, the player replaces an AI fighter.
Players are offered objectives that will award them with experience points if completed. When one player selects a particularly important objective, other team members are offered complementary objectives.

CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION

Brink's advanced player customization offers a near-endless combination of looks for your character. From clothing and accessories, to body type and voice pack, your character is not just another generic hero.
As you progress through the game and acquire more experience, you'll have even more opportunities for customization. Unlock class abilities and weapon attachments that let you complement your gameplay, or build a team of specialists with your friends or clanmates.
Over time you can build a look that fits your method of play, gamer personality, or personal style - allowing for the appearance of your character to be truly unique.

Want to learn more? Watch the developer video on Brink's character customization system.

<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie"
Resonance of Fate

Resonance of Fate, known in Japan as End of Eternity (エンド オブ エタニティ Endo Obu Etaniti?), is a console role-playing game developed by tri-Ace and published by Sega for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was released on January 28, 2010 in Japan and on March 16, 2010 in North America and it will be released on March 26, 2010 for European markets

Story

In the distant future, Earth has undergone a drastic change in the environment. For reasons unknown, poisonous layers of gasses permeated the land, which resulted in near extinction for mankind due to humanity's inability to adapt to the new changes. The remaining humans built a gigantic device called Basel, an environment purifier buried deep in the ground, which cleanses the air in the surrounding land and hopefully the rest of Earth as well. Civilization began to reform around Basel itself, building a city around the tower. The upper classes live in luxurious apartments at the top of Basel while the lower classes reside among the many districts built around the base and stem of the tower. For countless years, all is well, until one day the purifier inside Basel begins to malfunction.

Gameplay

The game utilizes what is known as the tri-Attack-Battle system or officially t-A-B for short. The battle system is a semi-realtime battle system which means that it is a mixture of a real-time and turn-based battle system. The game consists of battle elements such as command battles and action battles. Players start the battle by selecting one of the player's characters to control, following which the player takes direct control over the character. The player can then move the character around and attack a target of choice, the character's move ends when the player's attack is over. Enemies are also able to move while the player's character is moving and would usually attack only the character being controlled by the player.[4]
Each character's turn is time-limited, during which player's can keep moving and switching weapons until the time runs out. However during each turn, players are only allowed to make a single attack, after which even if time remains the character's turn ends. Attacking an enemy utilizes a charging system where the player first selects a target and then presses the attack button. Afterwards the character would begin to charge up in preparation for the attack, the attack is only carried out when the charge meter on the screen is filled up. Player's can also choose to charge up the attack multiple times though more time-consuming it results in a more powerful attack. The time needed to charge up is also dependent on the proximity of the enemy, the closer the enemy the shorter the time needed to charge up though it renders the player more vulnerable to attack. Enemy charge meter can also be observed floating above the enemies head.[4]
Players are able to move about the battle field freely, though they have the choice to create predefined paths for their character to follow. While moving along the predefined path, characters gain access to Invincible attacks, which cause the player to be invincible as the attack is being carried out. However the use of these invincible attacks requires the use of an item known as the Invincible State gauge, the item is an essential element in battle and is earned through a variety of methods such as dealing a certain amount of damage to enemies. Characters can also defend themselves through various methods such as jumping which can be used to avoid enemy attacks or obstacles. Even while jumping in the air, characters are able to unleash a special attack which may result in certain stylish actions.[4] Weapons in the game can also be easily customized by using items earned by defeating enemies, these items can be further developed into an enhancement item such as a scope or additional ammunition for the weapon.[5]
Players can restart any enemy encounters if they are defeated during battle, hence battles have been made more difficult so as to make battles more challenging. Players are also able to suspend and save the game anytime during the game. It is also possible to save the game during battles so as to allow players to enjoy the game at any time without time limitations.[6]

[addedon]March 19, 2010, 11:42 am[/addedon]hmm i dont see anyone open this topic yet so here go ^^v
