Reason for Selling: I bought a graphics card that included a pass for one of the three games but I'm not interested in any of them. Figured I would sell it to someone that wants to play the game.

RM90 looks like a good price cause it would be more than half price off for FC4 and ACU on Steam (and almost half of The Crew...but reviews aren't so hot for that anyway).

WTFind - PS Vita Repair

Got a Vita with the following problems:
- The power button is faulty, doesn't always work
- The Vita switches off by itself sometimes

We tried sending it to the Sony service centre but they said need to send to a different country to repair and the guy told us our best bet is to actually see if third party can repair. So asking here if anyone offers repair services for PS Vita.

Any help is appreciated.

Walk in Gym near TTDI?

Hey, I'm looking for a gym around TTDI (or within 5-10 minutes drive) where I can just pay a fee to get in.

Was part of Jatomi, which was great, but lately I don't have the schedule that let me go there almost every day so I'm looking for a bit less commitment.

My options so far:
MyGym - Looks like it dieded though...
Community Centre - I think there's one there right?

Any others I'm missing? Doesn't have to be TTDI per se, so long as it's reasonably close by. Links, fees and opening times would be most welcome if you have them.

If you can't read what it says, it's the ASUS Motherboard page, and the bottom says Please press DEL to enter EFI BIOS setting

It's not reading my keyboards that I'm plugging into it btw. The NUMLock lights up, but pressing DEL does nothing. sad.gif

What boxing/kickboxing gyms do you recommend?

I've been to TNT Kickboxing in Hartamas. Had great fun but want to try other gyms just to compare.

Does anyone know what the name/contact of the boxing gym in Solaris DUtamas is? I've seen a big BOXING logo on the way to Friday prayers, but Google's not getting me anything.

Any other gyms to recommend? I'm looking at Allied Combat Sports (Hartamas), Muayfit (Section 14 I think) and Alex's Gym (SS2). Any thing to say, good or bad about them?

Need new Graphics Card dying(old one dying)

Looking to upgrade to a new graphics card since my current one is dying. Not sure what to look out for when choosing one, issues like wattage (need more or enough). Any recommendations?

The following is a brief summary of my current situation:

Needed: Graphics card

Former card: Asus EAH 4850
Budget for new card: RM500-700 or so? Maybe a bit more/less.
Reason for change: Card dying. Will send for warranty, but in the meantime need another, so want to upgrade!
Card to be used for: Mainly gaming.
Preference: No preference, but I hear apparently NVidia cards don't give out? This is my first Ati card and it didn't even last me three years.

Current parts to the best of my memory:
Motherboard: Asus P5QL
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 Ghz
RAM: OCZ Performance RAM
PSU: Cooler Master 650 watts...can't remember if Extreme Power or True Power

PS - Wasn't sure where this thread goes, so I thought I'd post here? Thanks in advance for everyone who replies! If you need more info before recommending me something, just let me know.

Hey guys,

Am in London at the moment, found the Rock Band set (the one with game, mic, guitar, drums) for 50 pounds, which is around 250 ringgit. Is this a good deal? Last I checked, this set was selling for about 1000 (or close to it) in Malaysia, but it could've had its price reduced.

The second question is...is the stuff really fragile or something? Cause I'd have to ship the whole box over back to Malaysia if I buy it and am worried about something going wrong through shipping overseas.

See, after the bad lightning in TTDI yesterday, I haven't been able to log in (leeching off neighbour at the moment). On my router, it says that my Internet status is with the red line, meaning there's a problem.

Now, normally I would call them to ask them to check it. However, I have hit a problem because when I call them and ask for Technical Assistance, they require my Area Code and Service Code to proceed...and I have no idea about either. Where would I find such information?

Also, I haven't hooked it up to a comp directly to see if it's a login error because...well, I don't have a laptop and my comp does not have the necessary cable for it. Oh well.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What's your favourite bookstore in Malaysia?

Let's assume that location is not an issue and that every bookstore is approximately five minutes away. Which bookstore would be your favourite?

I was discussing this with my friend earlier, and I personally liked Borders cause it's got a novel selection that I like, and I loooove the ambience and their deals are great. Hooray for them always giving away Neil Gaiman for cheap! Besides, the seating arrangements are comfortable, plentiful and it's entirely possible to make friends there easily. Love it.

I kinda like MPH too. I particularly liked that old MPH in Bangsar way back when in the Telawi Street area. The wooden ambience there was soooo good. Too bad that since it closed down I've never found any bookstore quite like that particular MPH.

My friend has a soft spot for Kinokuniya. She loves artbooks, and since Kino imports them by the buttload, she loves it there. We both also have a liking for the view, overlooking the nice KLCC park fountain.

My ex girlfriend then too loved any bookstore that had unwrapped books, cause she would stay for hours at a particular bookstore and read. If I remember correctly her favourite was Borders too. Simply because every single book there's unwrapped.

And with that said, what's your favourite bookstore?

Do go ahead and talk about your grievances with other bookstores too. I was going to say something about how I don't really like Times bookstore, but I unfortunately have no real idea why I don't like it.

Was looking aroudn for a webcam topic but couldn't find one (if there is one already, please point me in that direction and let this one DIEEEE).

ANyway, I've used only about 2 webcams before. One was the built in one that came with my Asus (which was okay for the time) and the other was some small brand called HAWK, which was great in everything except that it was bloody grainy. It had loads of cool effects that I really liked though, and was a lot of fun.

Thinking of getting a new webcam though. I finally got around to an XP/Vista dual boot setup and my HAWK webcam doesn't work anymore, and was wondering if anyone would have a good suggestion for a webcam that can be found around here of course (with a good price ).

And since I don't want this topic to just be a generic "Recommend a good webcam topic," here're some reviews with test photos! Prices are in English though

Also, I tested a Microsoft VX3000 yesterday at All IT Hypermart in Cineleisure. Was good quality, RM120, clear image, smooth frame rate. I had half a mind to buy it there and then but decided to wait it out a bit and see if there're any other good choices.

Yeah, so I'm looking for a headset (headphones + mic, which is why I didn't post this in the stickied topics on headphones).

Budget's around RM50.

I regularly go to One Utama, Curve/Cineleisure/Ikano, MidValley so if you know of any of these places have it, please tell me. I also occassionally go to Sunway Pyramid, Bangsar Village, and for techie stuff I can get myself to Digital Mall too.

Basically, I'm looking for arcades that have Street Fighter 4, Tekken 6 (preferably Bloodline Rebellion) and Soul Calibur 4, if there're any.

I only know that the arcades in Sunway Pyramid, One Utama, Mid Valley do NOT have them.

I still play Marvel vs Capcom 2 at Mid Valley quite often, that's about it.

Anyway, I'm thinking of buying a PSP from a shop in Digital Mall, selling at RM 760 full set (memory stick, pouch, casing, etc.)

However, the price seems much lower compared to when I ask for the same thing outside (say, OU which is like 1000 for what I want, or Cineleisure which is about 900) so I wanted to ask, if I'm being scammed. For example, it might be a refurbished console (is it possible with PSP?)?

It might also be second hand. Is there any way to tell if it's new or not?

And is there anything else I should be looking out for?

GGPO and 2DF are both arcade game emulators that're focused on having great near lagless gameplay online, assuming people are within a reasonable distance from each other. However, I do not play often, as the only people online that I get good connections with are Chinese and Japanese, both whom rape me. So this thread is to see if anyone plays, and hopefully to get a sort of "official time" to get on and look for MAlaysian players.

I myself am on both sometimes, under either Darkstalker or Artelier. I play Third Strike, and Vampire Savior only so far.

Just to make it clear, I believe any and all talk concerning acquisition of ROMs and such is disallowed, so don't ask for any in this thread.

Right, so I've been trying to nag my father into getting me a PSP, and he's consented, but he's a bit hesitant on the place where I'm planning to get it from.

It's Esprit Appliances Technology Sdn. Bhd., specifically I'm looking at the one in Digital Mall.

Do they provide good service? Can anyone vouch for or against them?

My dad is afraid that I might get ripped off, or they might sell me a refurbished PSP or something, so I thought it'd be best to ask here.

I've been reading up guides on this and I've pretty much gotten confused with all the stuff that's been said in the guides, so I guess I'm looking at guides too technical for me.

First proper question: The guides say I need to set up a separate partition for Vista. I already have three partitions on a 320GB drive, do I still need a separate Vista partition or can I just use an existing partition (C:, D:, E:)?

Will ask more questions as I get to understanding them. One step at a time.

Right, so according to Asus SmartDoctor, this card is about 60 degrees celcius normally, and goes up to 75 or so when gaming, which I believe is a bit high?

Or if these temps are fine, then never mind.

Right. Some of you may have seen my earlier thread about asking a new comp. Well, I just got it, and when I got home to hook it up, I found one problem (which, in hindsight, I realise I should've checked when I was at the shop).

Anyway, the monitor has both VGA slot (blue, right?) and a DVI slot (a wider, whitish slot). The comp ONLY has a DVI slot. Problem is, I was only given a VGA cable to work with (again, the blue one, with three rows of five pins).

So here're my questions:

1) Would there be a VGA to DVI adapter I could use?

2) Would it be better to just get a proper DVI cable or would an adapter do?

3) How do I tell what kind of DVI slot I have? I was reading it up on the Wikipedia article but I didn't really get it. It looks like I have DVI-I on the comp and a DVI-D on the monitor, comparing what I've got to the Wiki.

More info:
- The graphics card I got is an Asus HD4850.
- The monitor is a Viewsonic 19" LCD VA1928wm.
