New Laptop

I have just bought a new laptop today with the specs below:

-i5-3210M
-6GB DDR3 Ram
- 750GB HDD
- Win 7 HP 64 bit

i just brought it home and started it up. from the starting windows to the desktop takes more than 20 min.

i have not installed any software other than those preinstalled like MS office 2010.

any sifu have any idea what is wrong?

Shockwave Flash Plugin 11.3

I am not sure if anyone is facing the same problem.

Few days ago i updated my flash player to the latest 11.3 version. however after i did this update i was not able to play any videos from Youtube. it is very annoying as i use it quite often. i have tried re installing but it still wont work.

It only affects my Firefox 13 but not my other browsers. my chrome can still play youtube videos.

any ideas?

Hi Guys,

Planning to get a new car but have my eyes set on these 2 cars. But i am still open to suggestion for <140k. resale value is not an issue. my requirements are big space, comfort and less problem with parts and built quality.

I know that these two cars are fairly similar with similar engine and almost the same specs.

Would like to know what you guys think of these cars and has there been any major problems reported.

New Tyres

Guys, just want to know if you are aware of this.

Last week, I was at Puchong when i followed a 3 or 5 tonne lorry that is filled with tyres. these are all new tyres with the sticker and stuff. but then it is not arranged properly but more like randomly thrown into the lorry. among the brands i saw was Conti, Goodyear and Bridgestone. I find it very curious and over taken the lorry. I was shocked to see the company name "XXX recycle tires trading".

Then last wed, i saw another one near Pandan Indah Police station. i was not sure if this lorry is the same one but somehow it made me feel very skeptical of changing new tyres.

Anyone have way of telling if the tyre is new?

Manual Transmission Problem

Hi sifus,

I have just changed the MTF for my dad's Unser about a week ago. in total it has done about 80+k km.

after the oil change i noticed that it is quite hard engaging 1st and 2nd gear. it is smooth if engaging from a stand still but especially the 2nd gear it is very hard to engage when i change from 3rd to 2nd.

I have double checked the oil to match the manufacturer's specs.

any idea what could be the matter?

for all those using S2 or probable Andriod 2.3 users,

my phone has been asking me to key in my pin code for a few times. is it a source to worry?

okok. the story is this every night i go to bed leaving my phone aside but for many a night i have woken up to my phone requesting me to key in my pin. I turn off all the apps before i sleep and i dont off my phone.

Need help from sifus here. Thanks in advance

sifus, i would like to know if the camber screw needs to be change everytime i do alignment? The last time i did alignment is about 6 months ago but the mechanic says now need to change again. Is this true?
