My area is KL and I'm looking for a place to buy a mailbox, a real conventional mailbox to put infront of my house (not virtual one) I wonder if anyone knows a place I can go to?

Thanks.

Sent my laptop to service centre for repair

Hi guys,

My laptop had a problem and wont boot up properly, the graphic card was faulty due to overheating, i suppose.
I found out on youtube that you could just heat up the motherboard in the oven or just blow hot air with hot air gun over the gpu chip.

I also heard that heating the gpu chip is only a temporary fix so I didn't send it to a repair shop to have that done even though it will cost me cheaper.

So, I sent it to the laptop manufacturer's service center and they told me that they will replace the current motherboard with a new motherboard and will cost me around RM 1k plus (Warranty has expired)

It will be done sometime this week and I told a friend of mine about this and he was surprised that I agreed to have the repair job done. I know its pricey and with the money I'm paying for this repair I can get a new laptop with a few hundred $ top up . But I think its not too bad, with a new motherboard its gonna be almost like a new laptop, although not entirely, but to me I think it is worth it, the exterior of the laptop is still looking like new and I am still in love with this laptop and everything else is working perfectly.

My friend after that made a sarcastic comment : "Well then, just make sure they really change the motherboard!" And it hit me, that he may be right, what if they only solder the gpu chip? The laptop will boot up and work but thats not what I'm paying for. My question is how do I really make sure that the old motherboard is being replaced with a new one? I will be collecting it sometime this week when its done.

Thank you in advance. If you have any suggestions or answer to my question please let me know. Thanks.
