Netbook HP Mini For Student

Hi. Im a university student.

I travel to university with bike so mobility of computing is important to me as I need to view lecture notes in computer.

My sister has HP Mini with Windows 7. Im not sure of the model. I think it suits me very well because I need computer only to view lecture notes and listen to some music and browsing the internet. I don't need games.

My question is, which gadget suits me?

Hp mini?
Small-sized laptop?
Tablet?

IF you say its HP Mini, then should I buy the new one or a used one? My budget is RM1000 max.

Please advice

my SATA hard disk burnt at its power port (to power supply)

anyone here can or know where to recover files in the hard disk?

story: i bought a SATA-to-USB device for the SATA hard disk. i connected everything then i smelt burn at the power port of the SATA hard disk.

then i tried to connect back the hard disk to the desktop, it couldnt be detected.

hi

i bought a PCI wireless adapter.

and currently using an nvidia geforce fx5200 - dual display. but currently only using one display.

when i insert the PCI wireless adapter into an empty slot and start the CPU, monitor is blank.
when i remove the PCI wireless adapter from the slot and start the CPU, monitor is OK as usual.

so whats the problem and please tell me the solution.
