hello guys...

CPU overclocking....i think this is interested topic...so, anybody have an idea...common to share in this forum...

that all...have a nice day to u all...

[addedon]September 9, 2008, 8:25 am[/addedon]Before going straight to overclocking, firstly, the user need to understand how clock is generated systems in order to make u understand how u can achieve overclocking and what is preventing u overclocking from working.

AMD and INTEL

AMD are better processors for a few reasons:

Price - AMD chips are significantly cheaper than Intel in most cases.
Power Consumption - AMD processors tend to use much less power than an Intel equivalent.
Temperature - AMD chips often run cooler than Intel, so you don't have to use such large fans. This means the computer might run quieter too.

There are a couple of disadvantages though. For instance, Intel's HT (Hyperthreading Technology) is supposed to be excellent. This HT makes the processor act as though it is two processors, making multiple-thread calculations possible and increasing performance under certain conditions. The new Intel Dual-Core processors have two processing units inside on chip - they have also included HT in these, making the computer "appear" to have 4 processors. I've obviously not tested these chips, but if they're good, they will most likely blow the AMDs away.

... Unless AMD come up with an HT equivalent and implement it on their chips. Then we'd have to see test results to make a comparison!

Dual core technology

hello...hye guys..

Dual core technology is basically putting two processors in one shell. However, this does not guarantee that the user will get twice the performance in all areas by using this technology. Dual core processor is between a single core processor and a dual processor system for architecture. A dual core processor has two cores but will share some of the other hardware like the memory controller and bus. A dual processor system has completely separate hardware and shares nothing with the other processor.

A dual core processor won't be twice as fast as a single core processor nor will it be as fast as a dual processor system.

we discuss about the dual core technology...what the advantage n disadvantage?

if u all have an idea...common to joint...ok, i think this topic is interested...that all..have a nice day..
