Attempted reckless driving

Just this afternoon @ 2.30pm. some jackass with the car plate PDS 8274 driving a white toyota avalon (I think) purposely tried to hit my car from the side.

Basically I was driving on Jelutong expressway (Now it's called Lebuh ekspress Lim Chong Eu in Penang), this guy out of no where moved in to my lane from the right abruptly without putting his signal. Close to hitting my car, obviously i let out a long honk. he then intimidated me by trying to swing the back of his car towards mine in front of me, but i didn't hit me. fine, I just let it be.

after traveling about 500m I overtook him from the left (yeah i know, it was wrong but i was in a hurry in the first place), he got pissed off, chased up on me and approached me from left and attempted to collide with my car. again i let out a long honk, but he kept doing the same for like 5 seconds. then after that he turned into a junction and left.

now my question is:

Can I make a police report for this? As this mental guy clearly was intimidating and attempted to cause an accident. it's pretty much just as close as attempted homicide.

All your generous input in this matter are highly appreciated. Cheers guys

My room's telephone jack went dead

Broadband provider
ISP/package: 1mb streamyx
Location: Penang Bayan Lepas area
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Yes, and they just brushed me off

Personal equipment
Modem: Belkin Surf modem router (just bought yesterday)
Router: Same as above
Firewall used: yes?

Problem details
It just started about 3 days ago. where my connection got frequently disconnected. at that time before i changed to the new belkin surf modem router, I was using Belkin wireless G router and Tp-link ethernet modem. Initially I thought it was the router's problem, as it was acting weird and ocassionally didn't power on when i restarted it by unplugging and replugging the power jack. Ultimately the router died because it won't power up anymore and it produced some weird buzzing noise when the power is plugged in. since the router was out of the picture, I directly connected my pc to the ethernet adsl modem. strange thing happened as well, as it sometimes able to connect after dial up and sometimes not. even if login authentication was succesful, the internet icon in the network setting will show no internet access.

So i started to ponder whether if it could be my login detail's fault. just to be sure i called up tmnet to retrive my username and pw. still didn't work. and finally i thought it could be the phone jack's fault, so i took my telephone and connect it directly to suspected phone jack. bingo, no dial tone. but when i asked the tmnet customer support whether if they should send a technician to look at it, they just brushed me off by saying it is not their responsibility.

so who should i ask for repair? and has anyone encountered similar problem with the telephone jack?

Wedding Banquet dillema

Hi all, I'm I'm in need of advice regarding who should be paying for the wedding banquet. Especially on how things go in PENANG.

AFAIK, my relatives whom all have wedded pay for their own side's banquet.

eg. groom's banquet = groom will pay for all and will maybe put in another 4-5 tables for the bride's side

eg. bride's banquet = bride's side will have to pay for it, but the groom can chip in for extra tables to help out if the bride's side is poor

Now my biggest problem is that when i mentioned to my gf that they, by tradition, should be paying for their own banquet, she got so pissed off, that we had a big argument til a point of breaking up. So is it true that that's how it works in Penang??

I seriously need to all your advices. Please help me in this.
Regarding car accident insurance claim

Hi all. To cut it short, my car (Suzuki Swift 1.5L, 6 months old) was hit by another car from the back, let's call him Leong . So now I need to claim insurance from that other guy who hit me. he agreed. We have already made the report and the inspector later completed the keputusan report (finalized report) that it was Leong's fault. so then my car was already sent to the authorized suzuki workshop centre waiting for the insurance part to settle.

Now here's the problem.

When I asked the inspector if i can get Leong's photocopied important documents (garan kereta, insurance cover note, IC, and driving license photocopies), He said that all the those stuff were already sent to JPJ and that i do not have to worry about it. just give the finalized report to the suzuki service centre and they will get them from JPJ.

But when I called suzuki service centre, they said that I should be the one who collect all those photocopied document + Leong's photocopied documents and submit to the service centre so they proceed with the insurance claim.

I will be going to the suzuki service centre tmrw to meet them. so for the time being, I just want to know whether if the inspector is right or the suzuki service centre staff is right.

Thanks in advance guys. your positive input is very much appreciated

ATTN ALL NETBOOK USERS! (Prefer Acer's users)

I'm thinking of buying a notebook for my girlfriend. Currently I'm eyeing on the latest Acer's Netbook aspire ONE 10" (Atom N280)

Her requirement is fairly simple.

1. Net surfing
2. MSN/Yahoo messenger
3. Using Microsoft office
4. Play simple Java based games.
P/S: Ocassionally listen to CD and her room is too small for a desktop

If i'm correct all those can be fulfilled by Aspire ONE very easily. Now the critical question...

Will a 10 inch LCD screen be too much of a problem for daily usage? In terms of straining the eyes, causing neck pain etc.

Anyone who has 1st hand experience, or shot experience, or even experience from their friends/relatives with netbook are more than welcome to share.
backup programs to be used in 64bit vista

I'm thinking of upgrading to 64bit vista premium. currently i'm using xp 32bit with all the backup files being stored seperately in difference physical HDD. I have a folders full of INSTALLED program folders (in seperate HDD) which I would normally re-use everytime i format my HDD and reinstalled my windows xp 32bit. I also have another nother HDD with all the installation files which I will use for installing my previously installed programs after reinstalling my windows xp too.

So now I have thought of getting a vista preimum 64bit, and there's a few questions before i go ahead....

1. Can I still use all my INSTALLATION FILES (previously used for 32bit xp) for vista 64bit??
2. Will all my INSTALLED programs still be usable in vista 64bit?

Hope my questions don't confuse u all too much all your help will be very much appreciated, cheers!!

xfire 2 cards which requires 4 6-pins connectors

Hi guys, i just need all your opinions.

I have a coolermaster M620 (620W) which only has 2x 6pins connectors. My rigs at the moment is on a single 4870 (which both my 6pins connectors are already occupied). I'm thinking of crossfiring it with another 4870 sometime in future. however if that's the case, I guess my only option is to use two 4-pin peripheral connectors and convert it into 6pins connectors to make up to 4x 6-pins connectors. have any of u guys done this before? Coz i know corsair HX620 also has 2x 6-pins connectors, and it was used by legitreviews.com in the 4870 crossfire review. So do any of u guys had any experience in this? by the way, the link of the legitreviews is here 4870 xfire review Thanks heaps guys
