Boot time

Recently, change my GPU from AMD to Nvidia - Geforce 1060.

My boot time (Win 7)...from 40s up to 1m 30s..

Try minimise program startup (msconfig)...not help...

Some say, it cause by Geforce Experience...so I uninstall it...also not help.

Any solution?

Need advice...

My streamyx have disconnect problem since last weeks (every 2 @ 3 minutes). Happen only during night time (7 pm - 6 @ 7 am), no problem at all

during day time. Check my phone, ok...no noisy sound. Cable problem? Don't think so cos no dc problem at all during day time. Haven't call TM yet.

Any suggestion?

Plan to get SSD just for OS (boot). Previous using HDD for boot and application. Still want to keep my application program but want to remove Win 7. Is that possible do that without formatting the HDD?

Need advice. Left my pc for 2 weeks for vacation...last night on the the pc but the loading takes me forever.

The loading " Starting Windows" until "welcome" screen then the icon on desktop takes more than 15 minutes...

Then when click certain program, also takes so long to open...sometimes hang.

Already try to repair, recover & system restore but not help.

Is it possible that my win 7 64bit already corrupted?

Installing the latest driver from ATI----v 11.10.

i got a problem with running the game in fullscreen. It stays in windowed mode, but everytime i press ALT+ ENTER
the screen goes black and I see a window saying "Not Optimum Mode" which says and recommend that my resolution should be 1920X1024 at 60hz..I can hear Battlefield 3 sound in the background, but I cannot get past the error bouncing all over my screen. Only by ALT+ ENTER it goes back to a windowed mode.
Also happens when i change settings in the options and when the game asks me if i want to save the changes, then it goes back again to the same blackscreen with the same message..

I never experienced this with my other games like Crysis 2 , RAGE or any other game.
I have been playing all other games in that exact resolution 1920X1024 at 60hz. never had any problems.

My monitor is Samsung 2350.

Please help

The only solution reinstall 11.9..

When finishing up using computer should I leave modem off or on?
Some said leave it on..24/7....even leave it on for more than 2 years...never off
Will it may shorten the life of the modem?

Rewiring phone line

Is it possible to do rewiring the phone line by myself...(in terms of safety)?
I think it quite simple, just buy the cable..connect the cable from the roof to the phone socket..
The TM cable is white & blue (from the tiang to my house), my cable is white & red...just connect white-white, red-blue..
Cause I believe if call contractor, at least RM80-100 fly away..

Modem

Facing DC my streamyx recently (15 - 20 min once)
Using Aztech DSL1000EW(L) + wireless. Find out that my modem not TM certified DSL modem.
Is it possible the modem causing DC? maybe incompitable with streamyx?
Want to try the wired modem only (without wireless) - D-LINK DSL-2542B (TM certified DSL modem).
Is that good modem?
Or just call the TM technician to check first?
Please advise......

Asus P8P67: TPU switch

Using i5 2500K & Asus P8P67.
On the Mobo, it has a TPU switch. By default it disabled.
Should I enabled it? It say can improve system performance..
Some say...just flick it on and it just overclocks to like 4.2ghz without you having go to BIOS..

HDD: One or Two?

Using one HDD 1 TB with 3 partition, the third partition for backup.
Is it a good idea to get another HDD for backup just in case the first HDD failure?

Just built up the new system. The spec is:
i5 2500k
Asus Intel P8P67
RAM DDR3 8 GB
1 TB WD
DVD
PSU Corsair GS 600W

When I switch on the power button, the system on for about 2 second then it will off for about 1 second then turn on again (will see the booting screen)--->win 7 logon screen.
Is this normal?

Three version HDD WD: Green, Blue & Black.
Everybody said avoid WD Green, suggest go for Blue or Black (which is more expensive).
Is this mean the Blue or Black will long lasting compare to Green WD?

HDD Problem

Using the old HDD (1TB).
The system can detect the HDD but not the partition...
What is the reason?
Is it I need to reformat the whole HDD and repartition all over again?

My mobo Asus Intel P8P67 come with accessories - e-sata + 2 usb port panel.
Do I need to install it?
Cos it quite crowded since I have to install GC and Sound card.
Also i don't think I'm gonna use it.

Other part such GC, HDD, PSU, DVD RW etc will using the previous.
Do I need to reinstall the OS?
Cos lazy to format and do reinstalling the OS & all other programs....which will take some / lot of time..
