LHDN Branch Change

Recently moved to new location. For the last 20yrs, resided within the same area, so my LHDN branch remained the same. Now that I've moved, do I need to initiate anything for LHDN to change my designated branch to one that's physically closer? Otherwise I'd have to go some ways if there's any matter that requires me to be physically present.

Cop: I saw, now I summon you. But you saw wrong

Just throwing this out here. If anyone can advise from a legal perspective, would be greatly appreciated:

So this morning, got pulled over by a cop who said he saw me using my mobile while driving. It was at a traffic light, red, when I spotted him, he saw me, and then he started diverting towards my lane. 100meters ahead, he signals me to pull over.

The usual happens; asks me for IC and driver's license. Asks me where I am going. Then alleges he saw me using my phone while driving. I said no, I didn't, and offered to show my call log to prove it. He says even if just browsing the phone while driving is an offence. Again I said no, I did no such thing but he insisted he saw the alleged offence.

Later he proceeded to show me, in his system, that I have two outstanding summons; 2013 and 2015. I go eh. But whatever, ok, if there really are outstanding summonses, I'll go to balai to settle. When I said that, he said "cannot, now only after pulled over, you will have to go to court to settle these". I asked, "what then, how else can I settle it? I will just go to the police station to settle them."

After saying I'll go to balai for the 2nd time, he said, and I quote, "susah nak cakap dengan kau ni", walks back to his bike, and rides off. So I denied him his daily allowance for today. The kicker for me here; after driving less than 200meters, I spotted the same cop pulling over another car.

Now, my 2 alleged outstanding summons aside, my question here is: can we be pulled over and summoned just because a cop says "I saw you on your phone", and can this be challenged in court and won? Especially when you know for a fact you did not use your phone during the period you were driving. This isn't the first time it's happened. I had a similar incident a few years ago. Again I insisted I did no such thing, showed the cop my call logs, no calls dialed, received or even missed in the last 30 minutes. He also let me go.

Just because I raise my hand up, scratch my head/ears/chin, stroke my hair, put my elbow up against my window, you can say "I saw you use your phone" and then summon me?

Average time before asking to go steady

So what's the average time spent knowing each other before asking to go steady? I've only known this person for a month (met online), spoke daily before finally meeting 2 weeks ago. First meet lasted 3hrs through the day. Subsequently had dinner few days later, also 3hrs date. Talk on a daily basis(messaging).

So, should I continue for another month, or two, before asking to go steady? Opinions are welcomed (ladies' advice would be appreciated!)

Fine Dining - Suggestions Needed

I'm looking to take a lady friend to an "enchanting evening dinner". So it will have to be at a fancy restaurant, with great setting, background, ambiance and, preferably, with live music (pianist maybe). No occasion, just want to take her out for a memorable evening.

I am looking at maybe rooftop dining. If you can suggest any other places that would be nice (as per what I'm looking for), please do. There's no fixed budget to this, so I am ok paying whatever it will be.

TV No Display, Repair Cost Estimation?

Hope can get some info from you wise, wonderful people.

My LG LCD 42inch tv (> 7yrs old) sort of died on me last week; in the middle of gaming, display went black. Audio was still coming through but just no display.

Wanna ask, how much would it cost to have it repaired? Assuming best case scenario (replacing 1 or 2 components) to worst case (possibly replacing the entire display panel), how much could it cost? And what/if there is any repair warranty given, how long is it for?

Or should I just go and buy a new one instead?
