How to restore a Honda EX5?

Hi sifu sekalian, I have a very low mileage Honda EX5 from 2010s (running on carb) that has been idle for about 3 years. I am planning to restore it DIY style but not exactly sure where to start so would appreciate if any advice is provided.

Based on my research, I know I may need to:
- Replace fuel
- Replace engine oil
- Replace spark plug
- Service carburetor (remove and clean with petrol)
- Change tires

Before I do any of those, the current state is the bike would not turn on (N light not on). What I did was trying to jumpstart and charge the battery with my car battery, although I could turn it on with the jumper cable connected and charged it for 30 minutes, once I remove the cables the battery depletes after a few kickstarts so I am wondering what should I do first to ensure that the bike at least have power supply (even though the motor couldn't start)?

I know the most straightforward solution here is getting a new battery but the battery was a Yuasa YB4L-B newly installed from the last service done 3 years ago, does it really need replacement?

Cheam June Wei resigns from BAM

Two weeks after June Wei was sent home as punishment for under-performing in Europe, the 24-year-old has quit – ending his six-year stint with the senior team.

June Wei submitted his resignation letter to the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) coaching director Wong Choong Hann on Saturday.

He is the second top player in the BAM to leave in the last three months.

In September, top women’s singles shuttler Goh Jin Wei also ended her tenure prematurely, citing failing health as her main reason.

Choong Hann confirmed June Wei’s abrupt departure.

“I’ve received June Wei’s resignation letter. I will be extending his request to the management,” said Choong Hann.

June Wei had been frustrated after the coaches withdrew his name from three International Challenge tournaments in Europe – Ireland (Nov 17-20), Scotland (Nov 25-28) and Wales (Dec 1-4) – after he failed to meet the key performance index.

The target was to win a title but he lost 19-21, 21-15, 17-21 to world No. 97 Siril Verma of India in the quarter-finals of the Czech Open and limped out of the Belgium International with an ankle injury last month after trailing 23-25, 2-11 against Kim Bruun of Denmark in the first round.

The world No. 71 knows that without tournaments until end of this year, his ranking will continue to drop.

He is currently ranked fourth in the country behind Lee Zii Jia (8), Liew Daren (34) and Czech Open champion Ng Tze Yong (68), who overtook June Wei after moving six rungs in the latest ranking list.

Choong Hann said he discussed about June Wei’s future with Hendrawan and the player a couple of days ago.

“June Wei has been in the borderline as far as his performance is concerned. Players who came after him have done better,” he said.

The 21-year-old Tze Yong, for instance, did better at the Thomas Cup Finals in Denmark and also in several lower-tier tournaments.

“Younger batches continue to do better than him. Many chances have been given to him since he has been with the BAM for many years.

“I guess he knew that his hopes to remain in the team was getting slim as there were no results.”

June Wei’s journey has been miserable since his commendable showing in the Thomas Cup qualifiers in Manila in 2020.

Then, he defeated Son Wan-ho of South Korea, Kenta Nishimoto of Japan and Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie to help Malaysia finish runners-up and qualify for the Finals.

Besides the lack of results in the minimal tournaments he participated, he was also tested positive for Covid-19.

It's only been a month+ but some of the things he's done since taking over health ministry:

2. Reduced interval between AZ jabs
3. Streamlined SOPs

And he was quick to address several issues like checking-out on MySejahtera or dining in only for the vaccinated with logical decisions, where as a certain someone from the past I only remember:

1. Drinking hot water kills COVID
2. 500 countries
3. Spanish fly

I don't support UMNO but I think at least he is on to something.

Twitch Streamer Hits Wife Live on Stream

“How many times do I have to tell you guys, I’ll be out soon,” MrDeadMoth says. The clips then descend into more screams and confusion, with his wife saying that she had cooked dinner an hour ago. The stream cuts out as MrDeadMoth’s Fortnite character dies and he moves off screen as the screaming continues.

The clip uploaded to Twitter was sent to RevvOCE by one of his friends, the user told Newsweek via DM. He claims that a lawyer was contacted once the clip started to gain traction online, who reached out to both the police and Twitch.

Daniel “Keemstar” Keem found the clip and shared it with his audience. According to a tweet by Keem, sources say that “both man and woman have been charged by police.” Keem runs a YouTube drama channel called DramaAlert and has been wrong in the past. Newsweek cannot confirm these claims.

Other internet sleuths have started to dig around MrDeathMoth’s online accounts. Twitter user Cylints claims to have found the password to his Gmail, Snapchat and other accounts and found the phone number to the woman in the video. Cylints also claims that MrDeathMoth has not been apprehended by authorities. UPDATE: Cylints now claims that "MrDeadMoth has been apprehended by authorities" and that the "charges on his wife have also been dropped."

Hi guys, I was looking at car rental service in Sabah and when I googled, I found Easybook which supposedly is a middleman that sorts out your car rental with local car rental companies. However, I found that the price listed on Easybook is much lower than the price listed on the car rental company's own website, even though it is the same car.

Have anyone had any experience renting a car through Easybook? Is it reliable?

Hi sifus, seems to me that the tread on my tyres are pretty worn out, can help me to identify whether I need to change my tyres?

To my eyes the front tyres look very worn out and need a change, I have done my research and decided to go with the market favourite - Michelin 195/55/R15 PS3 but before that I have few questions:

1) Are my rear tyres still usable?
2) My rear tyres are Goodyear 185/55/R15, would there be problems if I change only the front two tyres to Michelin 195/55/R15 PS3?

Puduraya Bus Terminal to Puchong

Hey guys, I need some help on getting to somewhere near SMK Dharma Puchong from Puduraya Bus Terminal.

So I checked Google Maps and found two optimal routes, would like some suggestions on which route to take or any others, if there's:

1) Walk to Imbi -> Take monorail to KL Sentral -> Hop in Port Klang - Batu Caves KTM -> Drop off at Petaling station(?) -> Walk to destination

2) Walk to a bus stop nearby -> Take Rapid U58 -> Drop off at Masjid Kota Lama Bus Stop -> Walk there

When I checked on RapidKL, U58 seems to not operate anymore, can't find it on the list.

Any suggestion or route 1 the best? If it helps I'll be at Puduraya bus terminal around lunch hours

Intermittent disconnections and slow speed

Problem details
First occurence of problem: 3 weeks ago
Problem frequency: Multiple times a day
Problem description: Intermittent disconnections, slow speed when reconnected.

About one month or two ago I moved to this new house together with my Streamyx 1MB connection, which worked fine for half a week after it was installed. Ever since then, it has been having this weird disconnection issue where you would disconnect all of a sudden and when the line is reconnected (IP did not change), the speed is suddenly reduced and the noise margin is so low:

Normally the downstream would be 10~12 DB and the downstream data rate would be 1536kb (1MB package) but after disconnection the speed just get stuck at that until you:

1. Swap the phone cable that you connect from the socket to the modem. (I have two different cables ready where I just swap them everytime this occurs )
2. Unplug the cable from the modem, connect it to the phone, pick up and listen to the phone signal, re-plug the cable back to the modem.

The above would solve the problem 80% of the time on first try or you just have to keep trying a few times to get back the normal speed. I have called TM and the technicians came yesterday but they checked and say the line is okay (at that point of time it probably is) then they said they will go and check the port outside and left. Hours later they irresponsibly (as usual) marked my report as resolved.

They even put the blame on my ever so reliable Belkin router, which is definitely not the case as I have also tried another modem that was given by Streamyx upon installation and the issue is still persistent. I suspect this is the cable issues from pole to house or maybe just the internal wiring but how am I supposed to make the TM technicians check those cables outside? They would surely be too lazy to get the staircase out and climb up there to check any loose connections or malfunctioning cables.

QPR Manager Mark Hughes sacked

Hughes's assistant manager Mark Bowen will take Rangers, winless and rock-bottom of the Barclays Premier League, to Old Trafford tomorrow with former Tottenham boss Redknapp in the stands.

Arsenal sign Spain midfielder Santi Cazorla

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that Spain international Santi Cazorla has joined the Club on a long-term contract.

Santi Cazorla - full name Santiago Cazorla González - joins Arsenal for an undisclosed fee from Malaga. He was a key part of the Malaga side which finished fourth in La Liga last season, qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club's history.

Cazorla, a versatile 27-year-old attacking midfielder, has made a total of 45 appearances for Spain and was a member of his country's victorious squads at the European Championship in 2008 and 2012.

Before joining Malaga in 2011, Cazorla spent two spells at Villarreal, making 181 appearances and helping 'the Yellow Submarine' finish runners-up in La Liga in 2008. In between these spells, he spent the 2006/07 season in La Liga on loan at Recreativo. Cazorla spent the early part of his career at youth level with Spanish side Oviedo.

Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said: "Santi Cazorla is a great signing for us. He is a player with good experience at both club and international level, who will add significant quality to our squad.
