Too many boot options

Hello forumers.

I have a question here.

My elder brother installed Ubuntu on his laptop. I am not sure what method he used to install the Ubuntu OS.

What I knew is he just followed the instruction provided on the screen during Ubuntu OS installation. He didn't disable fast boot thing.

After installation, he can boot to Ubuntu OS but not Windows 8.

He performed Boot Repair and after the process both OSes can be booted but with these weird problem. There are too many boot options as in the attached image below:

Why there is too many boot options there?

Is there any ways to reduce the boot options? Just for Ubuntu and Windows 8.

Strat pickguard doesnt fits

I just bought a pickguard on ebay last week.

The problem is the screw holes on the pickguard that I bought doesn't fits with my squier strat.

How much is the price to re-drill the holes? Is there any kind of that service in Melaka?

Or it just a waste of money to pay guitar tech for that purpose and just drill it by myself?

Hi LYN forumers and musicians!

I have tone issue on my little Stratocaster guitar.

From B up to E strings there is no intonation issue when tuning with open strings and 12th fret.

The problem is the lower E string, sounds perfect when open strings tuning but not at 12th fret.

Me and my friend had adjusted the bridge but nothing changed. Could it be the truss rod problem?

My previous Asus laptop automatically changed Mic In to Line In when i plugged in the guitar.

I can play guitar through Headset Mic with "Listen to this device" turned on, but there's delay plus the quality isn't good.

Laptop LCD Problem

Hi guys. Got a problem with my laptop. ASUS won't fix my laptop since the laptop aged 2 years already and the warranty is finished.

Got this problem only on laptop's LCD only. Works well with my external monitor.

So it might not be GPU issue. I don't know because that's my assumption .

How much money I needed to fix this problem? I googled just now and i cost about RM400 or more for LCD replacement. Could it be another issue that maybe cost small money?
