What's the best iPhone SP?

I'm thinking of getting either 1 of the following screen protectors for my iphone:
1) InvisibleShield - http://www.invisibleshield.com/smartphone/apple/iphone.php
- Full Body Covereage (USD 24.95)
- Back Coverage (USD 18.95)
- Front Coverage (USD 14.95)

2) BestSkinEver (BSE)
- Total Body Skin - http://www.bestskinsever.com/servlet/the-6...ody-Skin/Detail (USD 7.99)
- Screen Skin - http://www.bestskinsever.com/servlet/the-7...een-Skin/Detail (USD 5.49)

3) Power Support Crystal Film
- Crystal Film Set - http://www.powersupportusa.com/products/iphone_filmset.php (USD 14.95)
- Anti Glare Film Set - http://www.powersupportusa.com/products/iphone_antiglare.php (USD 14.95)

Questions
1) Which is easier to apply?

I've seen a video tutorial on how to apply BSE & read some user comments from other sites. Overall, it's not easy as it involves the following steps (taken from Modmyifone @ http://www.modmyifone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43141):

QUOTE

(1)- Turn your iPhone off and clean it with alcohol and a lint free cleaning pad. It dries extremely quickly and removes any oil and dirt.

(2)- Get a credit card with a smooth edge. Run your finger down it to make sure there are no harsh spots where the card was precut from the factory.

(3)- Get a small bowl and fill it half full with hot water to equal about half a cup. Drop one single drop of dish washing liquid in the water and stir it with your finger.

(4)- Take your iPhone and the skin and go into your bathroom. Run the shower on full hot for about 3 minutes until the room is full of steam. dip your fingertips into the soap water bowl and peel the skin off the paper it came on. Set it down sticky side up on the paper and go back to the phone. The air will be moist and start to condense on the sticky side of the skin while you are over prepping the iPhone. Make certain that the moisture content in the room stays high, if this means you must keep the shower going the whole time, then do so.

(5)- Take your finger and dip it into the soap water, shake it once. This will leave just a small amount of water on the tip of your finger. You should have a reasonably high condensation across the iPhone from the steam of the shower. All you are doing is applying the most minimal amount of soap water needed to make the skin slide into place. You are depending completely on the steam for most of the moisture which will allow you to do this without getting water in your iPhone. Rub it across the face of the iPhone all around and you'll notice a very thin layer of soap water is now on the face of the iPhone. THIS IS ALL YOU NEED. It should be a ridiculously small amount of trace water. If you do it this way you'll be able to turn your phone back on almost instantly once you are done rather than waiting 24 hours.

(6)- Immediately set the skin on the face of the iPhone and line it up properly. Pick the phone up and turn it face down while holding it from the back so as the face is visible and accessible as you hold the iPhone at eye level. Gravity will make this work for you from here. Use your credit card to squeegee the skin to the face of the phone and wipe away any excess water at the bottom immediately. Turn it around and squeegee it the other direction and wipe any excess moisture away immediately. There will be very little because you are doing this the proper way with minimal liquid. Use something to remove the moisture that is lint free. You'll see some lint in the photos below where I used a towel to wipe the excess moisture off and it leaves lint residue traces I'll have to wipe off with alcohol later.

(7)- Repeat the prepping procedure for the rear and install the skin with the same minimal liquid and technique so it is properly on the phone.

(8)- Make sure there is no excess moisture and grab your hair dryer. It helps to have a hair dryer that has a "cool" setting so you can go between hot and cold. By alternating hot and cold in 2 minute intervals you can force the skin to dry to the phone and eliminate the possibility of it getting too hot and stretching. You'll find that after about 5 minutes the edges of the skin will start to stick around the corners of the phone.

2) Where can I buy the SP locally & for how much?

3) Any fellow LYN forumers can provide feedback?

Is it possible to transfer Streamyx account?

Hi all,

Here's my situation: My company allows me to claim my Streamyx charges but it requires the bill to be stated under my name. Unfortunately, my account was registered under my father's name a few yrs back as TM said the account has to be registered using d existing phone line owner, which is my father.

Managed to contact TM customer care (after many tries) and d consultant said I kenot transfer the account ownership. I will need to terminate the account and re-apply.

I've got d following info from TM's Streamyx registration website:

Notice:
The 1st bill received will include an installation fee of RM88, a one-time service activation fee of RM 75, a one month subscription fee (from the date of service activation) and an advance charge of the second month subscription fee.

Terms & Conditions:
1) Applicant must be the owner of the telephone line. If you are not the owner of the telephone line, please visit the nearest TMpoint and fill in the authorization letter or apply for a new line.
2) Applicant must be a TM fixed line customer.

Please advise.

P/s: I can onli re-use my login name after 6 months

[WTA] BT headset & misc questions - SE W810i

Hi all,

Got a couple of questions (sorry to squeeze everything in 1 posting ):

A) BT headset
I'm planning to get a bt (bluetooth) headset for my white Sony Ericsson (SE) W810i. Any recommendations (price and model)? My preference is 2 get a SE bt headset.

What sort of connector does the bt headset hv 4 charging? Will it hv d same connector as d W810i? I hv a SE car charger which I used 4 my old K700i and was wondering if I could re-use it.

My main criteria are:
1) Good battery life
2) Clarity
3) Comfortable to use - easy 2 hook onto ear and doesn't easily fall off
4) Able to auto-reconnect after either phone or bt headset is outta range (of 10m of each other)

B) Car charger
How much is a car charger 4 W810i?

C) Protection 4 W810i
I used to hv a protective crystal case (free gift from hp shop) 4 my W810i but after dropping d phone twice, it cracked & isn't usable ne more. Altho d case protected my phone, I find it quite bulky.

1) Does skinning nullify d phone warranty?
2) How much 4 a good protective case?
3) If d phone is enclosed in a protective case and d phone is used 4 a prolong time, will d heat generated from d phone spoil d original phone case?
4) How much 4 an original SE W810i casing?

I'll most likely b making the purchase(s) @ Sunway Pyramid. Can ne1 recommend a good/reliable shop?

Thanks in advance!

Canon PowerShot A700

Hi all,

I was scouting around in Mid Valley 2day for Canon PowerShot A700 prices. Wud like some opinion between 2 camera shops as both shops are selling the camera at RM1,199 but with different packages:

Shop 1
2 x NiMH rechargable batteries
1 x Canon camera case
1 x Tripod
1 x Camera bag (not Canon brand)
1 x 512MB SD card, pay RM50 to upgrade to 1GB
1 Year warranty (unfilled date on warranty card)

Shop 2
1 x Canon camera case
1 x 512MB SD card, pay RM80 to upgrade to 1GB
3 Years warranty

Question
1. Doesn't the camera come with standard 3yrs warranty?
2. From a best value of money is concerned, Shop 1 wud b the ideal choice but my concern is whether it's worth giving up all those accessories for the 3yrs warranty from Shop 2?
