Sony Digital Photo Frame DPF-V900

just in case any of you might be looking for a digital photo frame...here's a heads-up.

i've recently purchased a Sony 9" digital photo frame model number DPF-V900. And noticed there's a dark spot in the middle of the screen...its not dead pixels...its just a darker spot at certain angle (looking from the top downward at approx 30deg angle). After meddling with the service center for almost 2 months, I had a new replacement...and guess what, the new one has the same exact problem. Now I am wondering if this is manufacturing defect. or sometimes the service center guys call it a 'feature'.

this aside, i also have some 8" Samsung frames. SPF-83H. One of them had a problem as well, sometimes the screen became white and fuzzy when switched on. updated the firmware..and still testing it and see if the problem re-occur.

Projector screen maintenance

for those of you using those pull-down projector screen. any suggestion on maintenance or how to avoid the screen warpping ?
