1080p/24 Playback

Hi guys!

Anyone know how to enable 24fps playback on a Sharp LC42A65M and Sharp BD-HP20A Blu-Ray player?

Been testing multiple 24fps BD titles on the system and the TV keep telling me its playing at 50Hz. I know both the TV and the BD player support 24fps and the movies are 24fps capable like Iron Man and Transformers.

Hope someone can enlightened me on how to get 24fps playback.

Using coaxial cable to connect AVR to subwoofer?

I have been unconciously been using a coaxial cable to connect my AVR to the sub. Been using it for one year now.

Only noticed it when I read the wording along the cables saying 'coaxial' few days ago.

Is there any harm using the cable? They are terminated via RCA on both ends.

Would there be any loss in sound quality compared to using a normal composite RCA cable that was supplied??

Edited: (HOW I HAPPEN TO USE THE COAXIAL INSTEAD OF THE SUPPLIED CABLE)

I swapped to the coaxial 'unknowingly' after seeing how thin the cable supplied with the sub. I rummaged through my cabinet full of cables and pull out a significantly thicker RCA cable without realizing its a coaxial cable. Instantly the sub sounded better.

I'm just worried I'm inflicting slow and painful damage to my sub by using the coaxial.

BT users! Let's all downgrade to RM66 package!

Dear TMnet BT users,

In light of the recent throttling done by TMnet on our beloved BT protocol, I urge everyone who have already completed the 'mandatory' 12-24 months 'contract' to downgrade our package from the RM88 to the RM66 package. Let's hurt them where it hurts most, money. This is payback time.

It is estimated that Streamyx currently have 700,000 subscribers (which I question). If they say 20% (which I question even more) of us is using the full allocation of our bandwidth, that's already 140,000 subscribers.

Assume all of the 140,000 users downgrade from RM88 package to RM66. That's a loss of RM22 per month per person for TMnet.

140,000 X RM22 = RM3,080,000. PER MONTH.

RM3,080,000 X12 = RM36,960,000 A YEAR.

WOW! A loss of RM 36 Million a year for TMnet

I for one have 2 accounts under my name, I will be downgrading both of them to RM66. One of them is already 'matured'. The other will follow suit once it has 'matured'

I don't need the 1Mbps speeds if I can't BT. Who needs 1Mbps for surfing, chatting and emailing.

So let's hurt them where it will hurt most.
