How well is using iPad as part of your Car

I'm planning to use iPad 2 as GPS Nav and In Car Entertainment, any experience to share? How good is iPad GPS function? I had read that bluetoothing iPad audio to car audio unit will experience audio lag, issit true?I'm not thinking of dashboard modding for the iPad though.

I'm planning to use this unit to replace default Saga FL unit. But can this unit utilize the audio control on the steering? Planning to pair this unit with a iPad 2 to create a simple navigation and AV experienve, is it suitable? If this no good, what do you recommend? Opinions highly welcome, me dunno anything.
