Hi,

My friend is giving me his 530s. It's not bad, but the graphic card is a ATI x1300 PRO. The dell also comes in a slim case.

what is the best graphic card that I can fit in? Also I'm not sure what the power supply is like. Are there replacement power supplies that can fit in a dell slim care.

Ordered a MBP now headache

Hi Guys,

Sorry for posting so much in this thread. Just excited about my new MBP.

I ordered a MBP 2.4GHz but I choose the glossy option (i like the super looking images and I'm not a designer, unless it's designing software/hardware in code). I was told that it'll take 3 weeks coz it's counted as a custom order. I was ok with it.

Just now I went in to switch and they're giving a 10% education discount for MBP! But not applicable for CTO (custom order) models.

That's RM700! which is a lot of money for a small difference in screen. Luckily they haven't place the order. Now I've to decide whether to get the glossy/matte.

If get the matte maybe I can get Time capsule hahaha...

After much reading the forums and all that, I concluded that BestSkinsEver http://www.bestskinsever.com/servlet/StoreFront uses the same material as Invisible shield.
Invisible shield is USD50++ and BestSkinsEver is USD27++. Invisible shield got lifetime warranty, but from what I read BSE got very good customer service.

So I'm getting the BSE. I'm ordering 5pm today.

BTW, if you're from Penang, and you wanna get it, drop me a PM. So we can save all on the shipping. I'm making RM0 from this; just goodwill from one Mac user to another. Go do your own research and please don't come after me if the skin is not up to your expectation.

Hi all,

This is my second post in lowyat.net forums. I confessed. I'm a lurker. Paiseh.. hahaa

Anyway, I was finally prepared to take the plunge! I got the cash and the courage to get the MBP 15.4".
At first I got the Macbook but the screen was not working twice (DOA). Apple was really nice, they offered a free
exchange or refund. By that time I realise that screens are important to me and decided to go for the MBP.

So start saving money lor.. haha now got money going to buy d and then ...

Apple insider say got case updates in June. Hai .. And the macbook will get aluiminium, I oso dunno what the macbook pro will get.

I don't really need it urgently, but I've been waiting for so so long.
