I am a IT student major in networking, currently working as a software developer in a MNC factory for internal software support (almosts 9 months already), means simply develop applications for the all engineers in our department (which is not IT department) whenever they need to, without proper planning, designing, testing, just demand and develop, all one leg kick.

My starting pay is quite well, but now i start feel bored and worry about my future as what i am doing now is not in 'proper way', i develop software without following any software life cycle, all without people's guide, i don't know whether i plan it in right way, develop the application in proper structures (class, module..), test plan written in correct format and etc..

I admit that i select this job previously as i need money for my family (what can i do..?), but now i feel that i should plan for my future also, can i get some advices from u all that should i change my fields back to networking or hopped to other company in software as well? Sadly to say, i don't know what i'm interesting in.., either software or networking..

Is this the correct path of these two fields? Correct me if i'm wrong..
1) Software programmer-> senior programmer -> system architecture -> ??
2) Technician -> network engineer -> network admin-> ??

Any comments is welcome, I'm able to accept, I think I'm useless as i don't know where should i go after working for almost 9 month.. Thanks
