HELP! Window Explorer keep stopping and restarting

My OS is Window Vista Home Premium SP1

The circumstances are like these:

Today I did something weird...What I did was create a shortcut file for my folder which locate on desktop. After selected my folder location, I name it as icon.ico ( don't ask me why ).

After that I double click on that icon.ico, my computer is hanging for few seconds. Then the "Window explorer has stopped working" and "Window exlporer is restarting" keep prompt out CONTINUOUSLY.

From that onward, I cannot open anything( no respon after I double click file or single click item on start menu ). These continue happening even after I restart or reopen my laptop. Those 2 messages will prompt out once enter the window, which mean I cannot open anything to try to fix the problem.

Can anyone please help me on this?
