Hi all. Just wanted to know if the gym benches of shopee are generally recommended.
Loud UPS. Normal?

Managed to get a friend's old Neuropower Cronus 1k, on paper seems like a good quality UPS.
Have sinewave, 1000Va capacity, etc.
But the fan is really loud.

Anyone else have the same experience with this UPS or something similar?

Did you do anything to remedy the noise or just live with it?

Electricians: Pure sinwave UPS

Do we need pure sinewave UPS for home personal PC in Malaysia?

Apart from the purpose of supplying backup power, UPS also apparently supplies "clean" power. How relevant in this in Malaysia?

Bonus question, which UPS is recommended for a high end gaming PC?

Bonus bonus question, how proven are lightning arrestors? See cal-lab products.

Recommendation for 2tb SSD

Hi. Planning to buy a 2tb ssd this 11.11 sale, primary purpose would be for game storage (already have a adata sx8200 1tb for boot drive).

Looking for m.2 form, unless price performance ratio does not make sense.

Found a few models from amazon sg, is it ok to buy from there? (Seems more cheaper and more variety) or better to buy thru lazada/shopee/other store

1. PNY XLR8 CS3030

2. Western Digital 2TB WD Blue SN570

3. NV2 2TB M.2 2280

4. Crucial CT2000P2SSD8 P2

5. Western Digital 2TB WD Green SN350

6. PNY CS2130

All 6 are similar in price range. Would appreciate if can recommend me from on of these or others within the same budget.

Kedai kayu near KL

Hi. Since all of ikea's desk is made out of particleboard nowadays, I am searching for a place to buy solid wood table tops.

Basically my plan is to buy ikea desk legs and buy the solid wood table top elsewhere and have them assemble the desk for me plus finishing on the desk.

Got the idea from american youtube setups, anyone done this in malaysia? Do you guys have any recomended kedai kayu in kl?

Edit: forgot to mention, main reason for the ikea legs is because I want it to be height adjustable like ikea bekant legs. Not to the extend of sit stand desks but enough to be able to adjust height for sitting position

How do you guys buy your monitors?

I have been thinking of replacing my old monitor (have weird white spots in the corner), so I have been reading up online on all the new features like resolution, framerate, etc.

Went to digital mall to have a look and was dissapointed. Not only are there limited amount of monitor on display, the video playing on these monitors also do not reflect their capabilities (low res video on high res monitor, choppy framerate, etc).

I wanted to have a look in person to see whether its worth it to buy a monitor with upgraded resolution/framerate, will I have better luck at different malls? Or do you guys just rely on reviews for buying monitors?

Preparation before sending to PC Repair shop

Hi guys,

This PC has been giving so many problems that I have given up on trying to diagnose it on my own, from random BSODs, hitching when playing games, and all sorts of weird stuff.
I resolved to send the PC to a repair shop, thinking something like dotatech or idealtech, and having them properly diagnose the problem.

But I am worried about the data and privacy/security of my PC, what should I do to prevent any breach?

Do I have to completely wipe my hard drives?
Do I have to remove the hard drives altogether?

Thanks

Money Back Returns in Malaysia

Hi guys.

Been having some BSODs issues with my PC, I am suspecting it is the RAM. I am planning on to send it back to the shop I bought it because RAM has lifetime warranty.

That said, I do not want to sit around waiting for the RAM to go through the warranty process and not be able to use my PC. so I am planning to buy new RAM but I am worried that the issue will still persist. So is there a shop that has money return back policy if I install the RAM into my PC and BSODs are still happening?

TV Died Due to PC?

I have an old PC that I was planning on connecting to the TV. The TV was working fine initially, but during the Windows installation screen, the TV powers off and cannot be turned on again. Could faulty hardware (PSU) in the old PC cause this? Any idea how I can determine this?

TV: Old Samsung TV
PSU: Corsair VS 550 from 2013

Hi guys. My superlux hd668b is almost at the end of its life. The wire bengkok already and audio will randomly cut off. Any recommendations?

Budget is around (maybe a tier above) 668b price, maybe up until rm500. Kinda interested in wireless headphones but not sure about the quality. Prefer open back. Already have mic. Mostly used in gaming and entertainment but im no audiophile.

Corsair hs70 looks kind of nice but not sure if gaming headphones quality is any better nowadays. Another option is the philips shp9500. What do you guys think?

Hi guys,
Got a weird problem with my new ryzen build. When pc is on "sleep" and I try to power it on, it will restart by itself. No boot loop, only restart once and everything is fine. It sometimes also happens when I'm powering on the pc.
This happens randomly, sometimes it won't happen for days, sometimes it will happen two times in a row. I am on ryzen balanced power plan, this build is relatively new, about a month plus.

CPU: ryzen 3700x
GPU: 1060
mobo: asus b450f
psu: seasonic focus plus
ssd: adata sx8200
ram: triden z neo 3600mhz, enabled dhcp in bios to get full speed
bios: latest bios

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is a hardware or software issue.
