future in mainframe career ...

hi guys

need some opinion about mainframe technology and career path in future and it's salary ...

currently im working as job scheduler for mainframe .... scheduling job and managing the checklist for operators & some operation stuffs...
previously as mainframe operator

have seem improvement after 1 year working as operator ...

may i know how much roughly salary for mainframe scheduler ? and frm scheduler, what can i go on next ?
is it mainframe support ? mainframe dev ? cics support ?
as i know mainframe job get quite high salary due to demand .. correct me if i wrong

i've got few advices frm my colleague n also self observation ... but i'd like to hear if any mainframe guys here in lowyat would share the opinions

issue with car rental, new contract

Need some advise from you guys regarding my car renting issue.

Currently im rented out my car to a company. First of all, we both sign as agreement for 1 year on car renting
Unfortunately, in 2nd month, my car has gotten a serious accident. At first, the company requested me to bear all the cost since they mention they rent out to an agent so not their fault. N in the agreement, its stated they will responsible for such cases and did not mention about insurance claim.

So they had repair my car around 3k. After this incident, they decided to create a new contract to be fair for them.
I agree the current contract, some term might not be fair to them ... but why they sign on the first place ?
As for my understanding, both party have the right not cancel current contract and sign new contract unless both party agree.

So here's the main problem.
I agree to cancel my current contract , and take back my car. But the company won't let me do so since they repair my car for 3k.
However, on the contract stated its their responsible to repair my car. It doesnt stated I have to continue rent them and sign new contract with new terms.

My concerns are ;

- Is the car rental contract valid ? If so, can I make police report & if need lawyer they have to bear all the cost
- since they ask me sign new contract, i have the right not to sign and either stick with current contract or cancel the car rental with them. am i right ?
- if the car rental contract invalid, what next can I do ?
- can the company do anything to me if i insisted my car back since they had bear all the accident cost ?

Anymore opinion and advise from you guys are most welcome. Hope to get some feedback asap ...

Hi guys,

currently i just retrenched from my job and got new job which pay is much less than wat i earn b4. therefore, i accepted the job due lotsa problem with my debt now.
Of course, currently i still searching for the right job of my experience.

Well, i hav did my research for those EPP plan and etc. Some require balance transfer or cancel card which im not interested. Im currently happy wit the service from my bank & doesnt plan to cancel either as this critical financial will end as soon as i get my field related job.
Prior to this, my spending is a lot but i can overcome it with my salary but unfortunately im retrenched...... this new job salary is too less.

I've calculated everything, based on my new salary, I cant even pay a single cc ....

here's my few enquiry ;

- how long bank gonna take before tow car for late payment ? old & new car

- i currently hav debt wit 4 banks. right now all the bank i late payment 1~2 months, except UOB late 3 month.
most of my card already reach limit due to i jobless 3 months ...

- What's the 1st legal action to be taken for unsettle debt ? How's the process ? Will there be any consequences ? will i declare bankrupt soon ?

- for my situation, is it possible for me to apply personal loan immediately to settle my cc debt ?
i juz got a new job <1 week . I plan to clear off all my cc debt, and only settle the personal loan alone.

Spark Plug head adjustment ?

I have fully overhaul my top engine, and a month later overhaul the bottom part

My car still shaking one kind like spark plug ignition problem. After some troubleshooting, my mechanic manage to find out the reason.
He take out my spark plug, and knock the head with something . He told me its bcos the gap too big making the spark cannot fire the piston (correct me if i wrong)

The thing is, why after i overhaul bottom engine only need do this kind thing ?? Is it necesary to adjust the spark plug head each time i change ? honestly this is my 1st encounter lol ...
I just worry the overhaul is not good making this happend ...

P/S I also feel my car much more underpower after overhaul bottom compare to last time overhaul top. any reason why ?

Done overhaul due to piston ring

Hi guys,

I;ve did my car top overhaul 2 months back. After the overhaul, I can hear the noise coming from my engine and lose major power. I got advice that after overhaul need to send back car for adjust tappet/valve and do some tuning. I did that n my car gain back power

Now my car engine block have severe problem. my foreman claim that the piston too damage already since 2 years back my engine giving the conrod noise.
Last week I change new distributor, plug cable, spark plug. After one day, my spark plug burnt resulting my car choking like no power.
Then change new spark plug again, and on my way back from PJ to Subang, spark plug die again

Finally my foreman advice me to overhaul the engine bottom only. Top no need since i just did not long ago.

1)My foreman said my engine 'naik minyak' already due to piston problem, causing the spark plug burn. Is it true that only way to save it is overhaul ?

2) I did overhaul (chg piston ring, conrod bearing, 1 injector , drive shaft right side for total rm900). Is it expensive ?

3) As for this overhaul engine block/bottom, do i need to send back for adjust tappet/valve after drive some time ? What else thing needed to check after the overhaul

After 1 week drive, my car shaking again n its the kind like spark plug gone ... how come it happend again ??
kinda confuse

since its new piston ring, how can it make my spark plug spoilt d ... almost everything new inside lol

Income Tax .. Need register ?

well, I;ve been working in this MNC for several months and got deducted income tax each month.

However, i have yet register or fill in anything about income tax or LHDN related. Do I have to do anything about it ?

If yes, how and where can I do ?

Im quite clueless since I never bother about the income tax thingy before till i've shift to this company. Income tax got deducted everymonth lol

my car is still under loan.

1) if i buy road tax n insurance, how do i get the road tax n insurance policy ?

2) do i pay by credit card ?

3) after i succesfully for the renewal, how about the rm625 claim ? i saw the feature in the myeg too .
basically how long would it take for the rm625 claim ? issit instantly at post office ?

Piston Ring & Conrod Bearing Spoilt

This month my car really give me super big headache, have very major problem.

Let me calculate, i have spend at least nearly 3.5k for my satria manual in this month up to last week

to make it shorten, i've change my distributor, service throttle body, spark plug, plug cable and battery. Lately, i discover my car have problem and losing major power.

It happend when u accelerate, your car will be shaking like no power at all even you full pedal. What happend is the power will only boost in after like 5~8 seconds . I've experience this thing before but i forgot what i've change. Its either spark plug or the cable.

So i went to the machanic n he change me spark plug. All went fine till the next morning. The car happend same thing again. This is my regular mechanic, he even change me new set me spark plug for free but unfortunately same thing happend again ....

I knew my car conrod bearing and piston ring need to be service since long time. i did not bother it and do TOP overhaul instead due to need change car in a year time. So my foreman told me my piston ring very critical already ...
Each time change spark plug, it will dead within a day the most .... and i can see myself how bad condition is the spark plug

My question is, what is the consequences if i delay for 2 months more ? What will happend ? The thing i fear the most is car stall by the road side.

Rear side tyre bengkak

Hi guys

Anyone have idea how does this happend ? Recently i notice my car shaking like hell once hit above 90km/h

I've been driving like this for the past 1 week ... I feel something not right n thus i send for nearest tyre shop for check. the foreman found my rear side tyre bengkak n straight offer to change for me.

He charged me rm50 for 2nd hand one ... N lucky he told me if i din change my tyre will burst

He also mentioned that my front tyre also will bengkak in a month time ..

I just wonder how come the tyre can bengkak ? the thread on my tyre still got a lot ...
Any preventive for this ??

Earn very pain/stuck from genting

I used to visit genting very often. however, today really makes my ear pain when coming down.. and this is the first time it happend.

normally when this happend, it can cure by swallowing saliva, it will kinda unblock your ear

this time it was really nothing can cure, stuck all the while. during comiung down my earn keep pain n pain ...

it still hapend now when i reach home...

any cure for this and whats the reason behind ?

Sudden aircond problem

Hi all

Driving Satria 1.3(m).
Im facing problem with my car aircond couple of days back. My aircond just like all of sudden not cold anymore. Only the wind blows out ..
Previously my aircond use to be very cold ...

I have never service my car aircond for 2~3 years since its very cold all these while ...

May i know what possible problem is this ? How much roughly to fix it ?

And for servicing, what's the regular aircond service did ?

Fat Mass Keep Increasing

Hi guys ..

Im currently taking FF personal training for about 1 month+ already. For my understanding, during the feel period, my body weight might be increase due to muscle but fat % should be keep losing. My case is different
Even my trainer also say weird ...

Im 90kg 170cm .

During 1st measurement last month, body fat % is 40%
2nd measurement 2 week back 34%
3rd measurement 30st sept 39%
today measure EARLY MORNING 40% body fat

My body weight did lose 1~2kg but that my mussle lose. my fat mass and percentage increase

Ever since last month, I have eat very less and my trainer say its weird for this situation my body fat % increase

I work day and night shift 12 hour, mostly on night.

So I only have meal around 7pm before I go office, come back office 9am ... I din eat. I sleep till 4pm ..
Then I do my routine n online till 7pm+ only I eat ... almost 24 hour gap
During my offday, I also eat once or twice only.

I know im not having healty diet, but my diet is not purely on lose weight.
But from my diet, its sound crazy that my body fat percentage would increase instead of drop right ?

Anyone can advice whats happend
