Stolen Phone, House break-in

Ok heres, the story,

Already lodged police repot.

My phone (HTC Desire HD) was stolen this morning after the thief broke in my house. Funny tho there is no trace of force entry.

I was sleeping on my couch during the incident. Around 0808hrs to 0820hrs (the exact time stamp is based on my 2 neighbor cctv recording). Can only see the object, cannot enhance close enuff to read off the reg. number of the EX5 (white color). Suspect is 2 male. Race unknown. In cctv 1 person is dark, the other is fair.

Anyway, I posted here because I need sifus2 and all guys here who can help. Please.

My gf just got sms from this number (011 Five Five One Eight 250) typing like my style of sms. I assume that the suspect dunno how to use my phone and he miss click send "draft" instead of holding to review the msg.

If any sifu could help to trace the owner of this line (the 011 above) , it would be much appreciated. The police have been informed, I am "HOPING" they do sumthing with this info tmr. And get a tech to analyse the cctv's footage <---not so hot on this idea.

The emails account in the phone is for 'certain' eyes only. (Not porn/nudity).

Things that I have tried :-

1) Went to DG HQ, asking them to trace the last known whereabout of my "line". Failed because the thief doesnt make any outgoing call/msg.
2) Asking HTC to trace the IMEI should the new owner decided to reregister the sense.
3) HTC sense not functioning, phone is off. and not logged from the phone.
4) Other type locator failed because, on wifi at house. 3G is off.
5) My simcard has been thrown out i assume

Before complaining further and filling out details , I would like to ask for opinion/s as I dont want to embarrassed anybody. I apologize if the thread is inappropriate in any way.

Details of the complaint : I am the seller. Item is purchase via bank in and Ive posted it via pos laju at the given address. The item is given 3 days personal warranty. The item is tested before posting. It is in good working condition. I check with the buyer whether he had received the item. Buyer acknowledged that he had received the item, tested it out ok.

Buyer said that the item is working good for the whole day but cannot be turned on the next day. I ask the buyer to post it back to me. Upon receipt of the item, Ive tested the item. It is working fine. Upon consultation with the buyer, I send back the item to the buyer to the given address (same address as before, emphasized is given to this point).

Ive checked the tracking code, item is receives at 2.05 pm on 1st April 2010. Yesterday, the buyer only contacted me, saying that he just only tested the item. He said that the item is working good. Today around 4 pm, buyer contact me saying that the item cannot be turned on again. I told him that the 3 days warranty period is up. He then said that the address given is his friend, he only manage to get the item yesterday. This information was not conveyed to me since the 1st postage was made. Not even during the 2nd postage. He demanded refund for the said item.

Interesting things to note, the buyer contacted me 3 times (to deal & postage details, 1st complaint and today), all using 3 different numbers including call receives today.

My question, should i even entertain his refund claim as the 3 days had lapse and I am in doubt whether his claim is genuine.
