iphone 3gs cannot connect to internet

hello forummer,
i've problem with my iphone 3gs local set (maxis)
now running os 4.1
after on cellular data network and 3g,my phone still cannot connect to internet,tried with safari,facebook,twitter.
anyone know solution of this problem ?
is this because of the os ? if yes,i would like to downgrade to 3.1.3 or maybe upgrade 4.2.1 to see the result ..

Guys,i need some opinions and suggestions here,im about to choose a new mp3 player for myself.However my budget is not too high,about Rm200 only.
Im more to bass sound.Below are the list to be consider after doing some research :

1) sandisk sansa clip 2gb
2) sony NWZ B152 2gb
3) sony NWZ B142 2gb
4) ipod shuffle 2gb ( not really interested bcuz no screen )

Please help,hope can get a good toy with better quality of sound
