As topic stated, my bro would have to choose btwn overhaul or engine transplant.
So far he found a h22a engine which comes with the following parts:-

- ecu
- wiring
- intake manifold
- exhaust manifold
- alternator
- all necessary brackets
- surat kastam

and it costs 2800. Is this a good deal or he kena ppl potong leher?
Other than that, how much usually is the labour charge to transplant this engine?

Car engine warm up problem

usually when we start our car in the morning, engine should be running above 1.5k RPM to warm our engine up right.. but this 2 mornings when I start my car, my car running at 800 to 900 RPM which is normal start up, not warm up.. apa bikin eh?

things that I have done recently :-

3bond TB, Spark plugs changed, engine oil changed, LM Ceratec, Lambda Oil Primer and Tank Otto, idling RPM tuned by mech and he got pusing pusing screw of my FICD oso..

p/s: I dun think that my thermal sensor kong as the fan will still kick in when water temp reaches 90 degree celcius

Buying used car

I came across a lot of ads on selling used car from Garage Sales, Mudah and wherever places. Those used car dealer or ad poster written that

"car is well taken care of by a lady owner"

IMO, if you were buying 2nd hand phone or maybe 2nd hand laptop, then the statement would be useful since girls take care of these gadgets properly. But for 2nd hand car, if you were to opt, would you buy from a lady that doesn't know shit about car or a guy who knows about car? Well, I mean generally and I'm not sexist here. Not every guy knows about car too. I'm driving a GSR and my friend who doesn't know about car saying "what is GSR? imitation of GTR?" and another one friend who saw Mugen spoiler behind a Honda Civic said "I thought Mugen was a character in Street Fighter?"

Back to topic, I'm saying this because I have few girls friend who drive good cars, they don't know about engine oil. All they know is to feed in petrol so that the car moves. I believed that guys would beautify their cars more than their face, and girls beautify their face more than whatever shit. Don't you agree with me?

Engine oil on Turbo

Wanna ask, is it normal for old turbo engine to consume some engine oil?
Consume like +/- 400ml in 4k mileage period.. not like up to 1L or more. The reason is oil are passed through the turbine to lubricate the turbine shaft and evaporates as it's extremely hot during high rev.

for eg: using 15w-40 oil on 4g93t, OCI every 4k mileage. Total of 4 litres of engine oil are used, 3k+ for oil change, and the remaining for top up.

I've asked several people regarding this but I got different opinions. Some says it's normal for turbo, some says it's not. So what says you?

Some of my frens are using thick mineral oil on their turbo as they need to change it regularly, so the maintenance is cheap. But some says people never use mineral in turbo.. why do they used 20w-50 instead of SS or FS?

Pls enlighten a noobie here.. NO bashers pls~

My car was stolen last week and I have already reported. Today my insurance agent told me that the insurance claim might have some deduction because that car was not under my name..
FYI, the car was under my grandpa's name and that car was passed down to me few years ago. That insurance agent told me that if my dad or my grandpa was the one who make police report, then the insurance company would
pay more to me becoz my dad's name is in the list of allowed drivers of that car (smthg like that). My question is, is this really valid? If my dad was the one who made report then they will pay more? FYI it's 1st party insurance.

I make report as I was the only driver of that car = insurance company pays less

OR

my dad makes report but he isn't the driver = insurance company pays more as his name is in the list

I'm suggesting LYN members to list out the registration number of any lost vehicles so that we LYN community scattered all around Malaysia can keep an eye on it. Well, very large probability that the lost vehicle would not be recovered/found, but who knows it might help? Not only registration number, color, car model, any significance of the car/bike and etc can be listed. Do upload a picture of that vehicle if it's possible.

Problem 1: My uncle wants to apply streamyx using his existing house telephone number. But then, the house telephone number is a ring ring card and not a fixed line. Can he apply streamyx by converting his existing number to be fixed line?

Problem 2: The ring ring card number is registered under my uncle's father which already passed away. So, can streamyx transfer the name of the telephone number from the deceased to his son?

Battery terminals prob

Hi everyone,

my battery is still new and it kong-ed few days ago. Then i took that batt back to the factory for warranty and the technician said the battery wasn't faulty, it's just that my terminals are dirty. This is the thing that i encountered. I turned my key to ignition, everything is still ok. But once i want to start my car, my car "black" out immediately and got no more power . So, is it my battery prob or the terminals? battery was measured by volt meter and shown that it's fully charged. That guy return my battery and installed it for me in the evening and everything was fine, but I was unable to start my car AGAIN just a while ago . So how do i clean my terminals? or how much is the price of new terminals?

may i know which driver i need to install? as i installed almost every chipset from ACER website but it's still not responding as it should be..
