Hi guys, just saw a campaign from RHB for up to 30k cash advance with 0% interest rate for 12 months instalment plan for new credit card applicant.

Would be interested to know if anyone else know of any lobang on getting similar promo or at larger loan amount with 0% or very low interest rate . Ideally the loan amount would be a few hundred thousand, otherwise it might be a bit too tedious to have multiple loan but I’m open to any suggestions.

For context
- I’m planning to use the RHB cash advance 0% interest cash advance to offset my RHB full flexi mortgage rate which is currently sitting at 4.25%.
- I have the cash liquidity to pay off either the mortgage loan or the cash advance loan but definitely would love to leverage any financing facility to lower my monthly interest payment or keeping my cash on hand

Advice on Cash Advance into Full Flexi Mortgage?

Hi, considering the OPR rate is going to increase again, I'm trying to explore the possibilities of getting a cheap Cash Advance or similar facility to put into my full flexi mortgage.

Has anyone tried this approach and have some insight to share here?
- Pros and Cons of doing so, I would imagine this might have some impact on my score but not sure about it
- Atm, I think HLB Quick Cash has the cheapest rate at 3.18% (one time fee) for a 6 month tenure cash advance. Due to the short tenure, I probably can't take a large sum on this which is a bummer.
- My RHB Full Flexi Loan is at 3.95% and probably going to go up to 4.15% on next OPR hike.
- If anyone found a cheaper Cash Advance facility, do share it here

Hello guys, just got my PC today with the following specs

Casing: NZXT Phantom 410 Black
Motherboard: Asrock B85M Pro4
CPU: Intel i5-4570 3.2 Ghz
GPU: Leadtek GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB OC GDDR5
HDD: Western Digital Blue Caviar HDD SATA3 1TB
RAM: G.Skill 2x4GB DDR3 1600mhz
PSU: ENERMAX NAXN(Tomahawk II) 500W
WIFI CardTplink TL-WN851ND (300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter)
OS: Windows 8 Pro 64 bit

At first I would like to update my graphic card driver from official Leadtek.com website but it couldn't detect my graphic card so I proceeded to install my Motherboard driver first but still can't detect it.

Here is some additional info which might help u to understand my situation:
1) At boot, I can clearly see it show GTX 650 ti boost.
2) Device Manager is not showing GTX 650 ti boost as unknown device.
3) I'm currently connecting my monitor to the graphic card so it should be working fine.
4) After some online searching, there are people who did not connect the 6 pin PCIE cable but mine is already connected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

DVD-ROM: Already had one.
Monitor: Already had one.

Total: RM 2266 The price are mainly obtained from Lelong.com.my (castleIT)

What do you guys think about the PC components above and pls suggest me a cooling systen as I have no idea what would be suitable for this rig.

Building a moderate size dekstop

Hello guys,
As mentioned above, I need some suggestion to build a new desktop because my old laptop is too slow for my requirements nowadays.

Let me highlight what I'm going to do with this desktop first:
- RM3k budget
- Programming, mainly Android + web development
- Light gaming, mainly DoTA 2 only.
- Watching movie
- Compact(Easy to move around) + aesthetic.
- Silent
- Future proof for the next 5 years.

So based on my requirements, I've managed to find some components that I'm interested in which are below:
- Casing: BitFenix Prodigy Arctic White Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case for RM269+15 @ Lelong.com.my
- Water Cooling System: Corsair Hydro Series H100 for RM478+12 @ Lelong.com.my
- CPU: Intel I7 3770K 3.5Ghz for RM1019+7.80 @ Lelong.com.my
RAM: Unknown.
Monitor: Unknown, preferable something bigger than 30 inches.
Motherboard: Unknown, preferable one that will last me for the next 5 years.
PSU: Unknown
SSD: Unknown, probably something around 128 GB will suffice?
HDD: 2 TB Seagate HDD for RM399 @Lelong.com.my
Others: Unknown.

Based on the above components, it will costs me around RM2201.
The cost is kinda on the red zone so what suggestion for the remaining components do you guys have based on my requirements or a better suggestion for the components that I've selected.

P.S: Anything more than my initial budget, RM3k is a no-no.

Computer shutting down itself frequently

Hello guys, I'm having this Acer laptop for more or less 2 years now and recently it keep shut down itself even when I'm playing DoTA which is a low resource game. Personally I'm suspecting the fan is not working properly which caused my CPU to overheat and shut down itself.

So is there anyway to find out the cause of this issue and where can I service it without voiding my warranty? I have 3 years warranty so I still have 1 more year to go.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Since purchase of new modem
Problem description: Unable to connect to the internet although all light is up and running.

Further Description
I've tried to configure the modem using the disc provided and also manually setting up the connection but still fail.
After searching around the net, I further crosscheck the following details but still unable to find the error.
Vpi&Vci which should be 0, and 35 respectively.
Encapsulation method is LLC.
DHCP is 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254.
That pretty much conclude what I've done so far.

The whole story
My previous modem which is also DSL-2640B which was given to me through Unipack deal was struck by thunder last week so I decided to purchase a same model as it should be more or less using the same configuration and I found one during the PC Fair yesterday.

After going back home and attempt to use the setting which I've backup from the old router, I found out it was unusable probably due to different firmware. I notice there are a few line which exist in Streamyx firmware setting which cause it unable to be used with original D-Link firmware.

Then I search around the internet and tried to confirm my problem which is explained on the top but nothing seems wrong to me.

PS: I'm wondering is it possible for any1 who has a working config for DSL-2640B for the original firmware to upload it for me to use?
Or Maybe some1 could tell me where I can dl Streamyx Ge 1.07 firmware so I can use the old config?

Hello guys, I'm currently studying Information System Engineering in TARC for diploma year 1.

I'm currently facing the problem as to where to continue my degree after finishing my diploma and the following the option which I figured out from my friend and senior vaguely. Recognition and financial are the major factor for me to choose the suitable school to continue my degree.

I was thinking of continuing Advanced Diploma in TARC and proceed to completing Degree through the oversea programme offered by TARC. However, will it cost more to study oversea than studying in local schl such as MMU (PJ) or UTRA (Kampar)?

And what about the recognition of this Degree through the so called oversea programme? Is is certified by Malaysia IT company?

Any advises on where I should continue my degree is greatly appreciated.

Question regarding PTPTN & CGPA

Hello guys, as stated above I wanted to ask a few question regarding PTPTN & CGPA and here is the gist of it.

1) I have just finish my 1st sem final exam and there is a 90+% chance (less than 50 over 100 mark) I'm going to fail one of my subject, pre-calculus.
2) So my question is, will I still be eligible to receive PTPTN loan if my CGPA is over 2.0 with 1 subject fail? Btw I think I can at least get 3A and a B for the other four exam so It should make my CGPA above 2.0 right?
3) If I assume I'm not eligible to receive it, will I be able to if I scored 2.0 above without fail on my next sem?

Preme is a small footprint program that run at less than 1mb of ram while idling and 3mb when you open up the setting window (Memory consumption is not accurate as it might vary due to many factor). It simply copy the main file, preme.exe to the startup folder without any installation and did I mention it is FREE OF CHARGE!!!

I will not go too deep with it's function and briefly explain 2 of it's feature which I liked the most, anymore than that will be tiresome for me.

How?
1)Hold on the minimize button and preme will automatically dock your window to the nearest sides or bottom of the screen. If the nearest sides or bottom is already preoccupied with a window it will simply swap out the preoccupied window with the new window.

1)It's awesome and you can show off to your friend how awesome it is and make them show it to their friend too!!!
2)It's convenient and makes your desktop look less messy.
3)Save every tiny bit of pixel on your (small)desktop/monitor.

How?
1)Hold on the titlebar/topbar for about 1 to 2 seconds and it will change the attribute of your window to either always on top or not always on top.

Benefit?
1)Have you ever encountered any app that force itself to always on top which block your desktop? Well I do and quite a lot of time at that but I never had this app back then which cause me so frustrated but now I can change it without any programming knowledge or hassle to open up a new app for that.
2)Wanted to edit a document with full screen while reading an article? You can do so by applying always on top attribute and resize it and place it on anywhere you can view the article while editing your document.

Getting a new graphic card.

Err ... Let me give a brief explanation of the com spec. This computer is already 3+ years old and my graphic stop working recently so I planned to buy a new 1 to replace it but I have no knowledge in hardware at all so all lowyat fellow pls help me ^^.

DEP acting funny

I was wasting my time with my computer as usual this morning and suddenly DEP terminated explorer.exe without any warning due to security reason .... I guess Microsoft has finally realized explorer.exe is a potentially dangerous app created by them?

P.S: I'm not trying to ask for advice to remove suspected virus .... It happen only once and I think it's quite funny and decided to share it with everyone.

Screensaver

I have only tested the screensavers on my own Windows XP Home Edition SP2 with 4:3 resolution so If you encountered any problem, you can try the following method.
1)Install the latest Flash Player from HERE
2)Pm me or post your problem but I don't think so I can help much either .

I made some flash screensaver out of curiosity after seeing a few flash screensavers made in this THREAD. I do not have any knowledge in flash and action script so all I did is converting the flash to screensaver using app,provide some feature and creating the installer. All credit is given to their respective original creator.

Dodge Squad by ~KloporToups

Summary:
Dodge Squad is a flash about three dodge man trying to evade your mouse by jumping, rolling, and pushing each other. It's quite fun to play with and I think they look cute enough just by standing still.
Removed watermark below the flash since it is quite annoying/ugly. You can configure the position setting and load your favourite song by right clicking the shortcut. To exit the screensaver, simple click "Esc"

SHOCK 1&2 by Terkoiz

Summary:
SHOCK1&2 is animated by one of the best flash animator, Terkoiz. Shock receive a total of 4 awards from newgrounds. I dunno how to describe SHOCK just by using word so just view it for yourself. I enjoyed it very much ^^.
You can configure the position setting, load your favourite song, and which key to exit the screensaver.

Summary/Review:
sShutdown is an freeware app to customize how your Shutdown would looks like. All It need is a few kilobyte of memory to run TrayDemon.exe to integrate the customized shutdown. It also support other simple shutdown app such as ShutX, iShut, and Chaos Shut but I recommend using sShutdown itself since it is much more easy to use and also provide more customizing feature.
The app itself is available in eng but the homepage is in russian.

Mmm [XP ONLY]

Does your context menu looks as ugly as mine or even worst? There are some context menu manager out there to remove unwanted context menu but wouldn't it be better if you can just group similar command together to make it looks cleaner but at the same time easy to access? You can virtually hide all context menu or group it all into a few group for easy and clean access. Mmm exist in two version, free and paid version which provide extra feature and also consume less memory because it can be run from tray while free ver use more or less 3mb ram.

Remove Nero leftover from autoplay

Reenabling all microsoft services

Today I go to my friend house to solve the problem she is having .... Im using portable Avira task manager and found around 3x services is infected so I disabled all of the infected services but it seems that was a wrong thing to do because now I cant reenabled back the service!!!! .... After disabling the service, I go find for the main virus which is "system32\restore\A.exe" , 4 random generated file name in "system32\" , and a few more at startup .... After deleting all the virus (I think so) , I reboot a few time and keep on deleting the remaining virus .... So now when I try to reenable back all the services, the location for the services is all gone @.@.

What do you guys recommend me to do next or how can I recover back all the services? By the way windows installer stop working anymore too.

And pls dont give comment to install anti virus now!!! because I cant do it now and I will do it later after I discuss it with her!!!

Unable to apply show hidden files.

Ok I jsut found out I'm infected by virus yesterday when I cant show my hidden folders and protected system files through folder options so after a scan there a some virus attached to my registry key ... I have no idea where I get it from but lets set that aside . My problem now is I still cant show my hidden folders properly , can anybody teach me how to tweak the registry key to fix this problem or any alternative way? TQ
