I have these AVI files in my laptop. At first, they don't show video. Only sounds. After googling about it, I ran the files through gspot. The videos are back but the audio is gone! how???

No Sound in Windows XP

One of my older(but not any older than a year) laptop uses windows xp. It's fine but sometimes all of a sudden the sound will disappear. To get the sound back, I have to shut it down and turn it back on again. Even restarting doesnt help.

Why? And how do make it stop??
