As a survival horror game enthusiast, this has been going through my mind for a while now.

Up until now, I have never came across a true zombie apocalypse simulator. (Well, not the ones that are released, of course.)

Due to lack of time and my procrastination traits, I am still a newbie at programming language.

The zombie apocalypse simulator (Which will be first person RPG) I've had in mind is a very complex game and definitely requires vast amount of time spent to be made.

Let's start with the big picture shall we?

1. It should be as realistic as possible.

By realistic, I meant serious realistic as this would truly put the person playing the game into the intended OMGIAMGOINGTOSHITMYPANTS atmosphere as humans are not perfect, you are not immune!.

I'm not talking about guns and ammunition being hard to find or zombies able to run fast.

I'm talking about:-

- Limited stamina.

- Human relationships.

- Weather conditions will affect your actions

- Object deterioration (Weapons, apparel, useable products)

- One bite is all it takes to kill you. (Don't worry, you can protect yourself with certain apparels.)

- Wide and shaky crosshair (or none at all) for characters with no firearm experience. (scales inversely)

- Panics when zombies gets too close which causes even wider and more shaky crosshair. There also a small possibility that the action you're doing might be canceled. (Panic activation range is determined by composure of the character.)

2. Psychological events will occur in game.

1) Someone gets bitten but did not dare to reveal to anybody due to fear of death.
2) A STD infected person with an unrequited love for you who will spike your drinks or blackmail you into having a sexual affair with him/her.
3) One who has hatred towards you and wants to finish you off.
4) A guy/girl hiding his/her zombie-fied relative in the fort. (Possible necrophilia)
5) Situation where rescued survivors will turn on you, or even run out on you during the zombie attacks -by ik3da
etc.

Your main mission is to find shelter ---> reinforce the defense of the shelter, Scavenge for supplies, rescue survivors for they will assist you in the apocalypse. which all leads to defending yourselves from attacking zombie waves at night.

The game can end in many ways. (Either fortunate or unfortunate):-

- Obliterate all the zombies in the country.

A good concept example of the game will be :-

Although it's not be in first person mode, it is a good example of what the situation is going to be like. (expect with more free roaming and real time.)

Explosives are everywhere.

They're in the movies, constructions, guns, fireworks and even your car.

What do we understand about explosions?

They hurt people, yes. But in what way does an explosion hurt someone?

Heat? Sound? Pressure? That might not be the case.

The products of the explosion varies as there are different types of explosive. But let's go the most anticipated type of explosion:-

Chemical reaction Explosion or Chemical explosion.

Chemical explosion are cause by quick expanding hot gas that's created by instantaneous chemical reaction.

These chemicals has to initiated by an energy source/catalyst in order for it to have a reaction going. E.g. Heat, certain chemicals.

Once ignited, the chemical reaction would release vast amounts of heat and gas.

The hot gas expands in such a huge amount and quickly that it would be felt as a pressure force.

This force is usually harmless when caused by small explosives but for big explosives, this force would be so huge that it could be felt like a giant hot hammer coming at you at the speed of sound.

The strength of the explosion depends on the speed of chemical reaction.

The faster the reaction, the bigger the explosion. But how do we separate into groups of strong or weak explosion?

In order to consider an explosion strong, the explosion caused must be faster than the speed of sound and moves through shock compression. Thus the term for it would be "Detonation" (High-explosive)

For anything exploding slower than the speed of sound, it would be addressed as rapid combustion. (Low-explosion)

Low-explosions are weak and they won't cause much damage when standing close it it. This low-explosion are helpful in providing potential energy which then becomes kinetic energy to cause objects to move.

Example:-

Heat combustion engine which are found in cars, motors, bus, etc. (The explosion helps to move the piston, which then helps to turns the wheels)

Guns uses the explosion cause by the ignition on the gun powder to push the bullet out of the gun at a high velocity.
