On internet and social media so much gebang from JKOM and PN/MN supporkters
But I really interested to see one in real life. so hard to find.

Not to argue with them. Just curious want to see their life.

not affected by the pandemic
no family/friends died from covid
business still run normally
salary still 100%
no care if parents are across states cant visit
no need raise white flag to ask for food
no mind cooking stuffs increased prices.
no mind neighborhood small shops are closed for good.

It means that united workers can force the gomen to take action

Which mean, all workers across the board can unionize and force the gomen to act, not just makan gaji buta

KUALA LUMPUR: Persekutuan Majikan Malaysia (MEF) memohon lebih banyak masa untuk mematuhi Akta Standard Minimum Perumahan dan Kemudahan Pekerja (Pindaan) 2019 (Akta 446) yang dikuatkuasakan sepenuhnya oleh Kementerian Sumber Manusia semalam.

Presiden MEF Datuk Dr Syed Hussain Syed Husman berkata kerajaan perlu mengambil kira keadaan semasa dan tidak menghukum majikan kerana tidak mematuhi akta tersebut"

Dalam mematuhi akta itu, majikan perlu mematuhi hal-hal seperti keperluan ruang dan minimum ketebalan tilam. Sebagai contoh, ruang seluas 1,500 kaki persegi hanya dapat menampung maksimum enam pekerja asing dan kita tahu ramai rakyat Malaysia tinggal di ruang yang jauh lebih kecil daripada ini.

"Majikan yang gagal mematuhi akta ini akan dikenakan denda RM50,000 bagi setiap pekerja asing. Pada masa yang sama, banyak majikan bergantung pada program subsidi gaji dan bantuan kerajaan yang lain untuk bertahan dalam pandemik ini," katanya dalam satu kenyataan semalam.

Menjelas lanjut, beliau berkata sejak permulaan COVID-19 hingga September tahun ini, lebih 30,000 perniagaan telah ditutup dengan majoriti gagal memulihkan semula operasi setelah ekonomi dibuka secara beransur-ansur pada Jun lepas, dan menambah bahawa pada 24 Nov, kira-kira 100,000 pekerja mendapat faedah pemberhentian pekerja di bawah Sistem Insurans Pekerjaan (EIS)

"Masalah utama yang dihadapi majikan pada masa ini adalah untuk bertahan dan kami berharap kerajaan akan mempertimbangkan rayuan MEF untuk belas ihsan kepada majikan pada masa yang sangat sukar ini," katanya.

Just wondering what are k/ work like if possible to WFH or not.

My case, 10% site work, 90% computer work
Since COVID no sites open to visitors anyway.

Most of my duties are all on computer. Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Email.
We also have our own FTP server for file share but rarely use or have sensitive docs.
So kerja still jalan even MCO.

Just got merrid early this month. Alhamdullillah semua selamat.
Dunno how I landed a good lady for a wife. Syukur.

Recently, my workplace HQ in Europe made a survey of all our remote and country offices about the impact of Covid19 and working from home experience.
They share the 34 page survey report to all of us with the summary:

QUOTE

“We have experienced increased productivity as we measure performance based on deliverables rather than accounted time at the office. We also save plenty of commuting time”

Pretty much hard proof that WFH doesn't affect productivity, since most works are online anyway.

BUT

my local bos, still want staff commute, punch in, sit at desk, work and wait until 6pm, rush hour go home.
despite during WFH most jobs can be done by lunch time, plus save fuel and reduce car pollution.
irony since we deal in green business, my office want to continue pollute.

why? no reason other than it's what he's used to. forgot he's even higher risk than most of us.
some of my koliq manage to nego to continue to WFH because got kids at home or elder parents.

so here I am, in an empty office with just another coworker.

personally, I'm still ok with my arrangement but what do you think?
