Laptop Budget rm2k-rm3k for office..

hi all,
i'm planning to get a laptop that suitable for office use,
budget rm2-3k,
fast processor, can multitasking efficiently,
preloaded with ori windows,
prefer dedicated graphics,
and most important is durable and have long life battery.

what i have in mind now is HP Pavilion DV3-2111TX,

seems a good specs coz has dedicated graphic there (nvidia g105),
big hdd 320g, and quite fast procs (core2duo with 3mb cache).
lowest price can get is rm2949, nice price!!

do u guys have better choice to recommend me?
maybe u guys have experience regarding this matter?

Hi, i need advice regarding the best method secure ms access database within network in company environment.
anyone has experience or solution for this matter?
fyi, this database already integrated with VB6. so, i need method that compatible with VB6.
i googled but ended up confused coz dunno which is the best and secure method.

How to set PPPoA with AM300 + Netgear Router

Broadband provider
ISP/package: Streamyx 2MBit Enterprise (STATIC IP)
Location: Somewhere
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: No

Personal equipment
Modem: Linksys AM300 / Riger DB-102
Router: Netgear RP614v3 / Linksys WRT54GL
Method used : PPPoA

Problem details
Hello any networking expert there? This problem is very difficult to solve, not easy as it sounds
Currently setting PPPoA with DB102 + Netgear Router is a breeze. No problem at all.
But when try with AM300 + that router, failed miserably..
Main problem is because routing table for AM300 is completely different compared to other ADSL modems out there.
Please take note that 3 WAN ip are involved to make this route happens:
60.52.146.1, 60.52.146.2 & 60.52.146.3
*All of the ips are fake but can be used for reference..

How fast TM settle your problem?

hi guys, just wanna know how fast tm staffs react to ur problems?
as in my case, took them a week to settle my miscapped problem
also in my previous miscapped case, also a week
2nd time kena same problemo, cannot tahan lol

amazingly, their response very fast to corporate users.
as in my workplace, called 100 in the morning about faulty modem,
exactly in the same morning they send replacement modem already,even it was raining heavily, very fast lor

so how urs gonna be?

speedtest results slower when using router

hi i have some problemo here,
it seems that my speed test at http://www.speedtest.net is slower by 200kbps when using router compare to using modem alone.
my router is linksys wrt54gl connected to riger db102 modem.

for example:
if i test with modem, 1000kbps
then with router only 800kbps
so where the other 200kbps lost?
any idea guys?

hi guys,

i got tmnut riger db-102 at my home and i want to add wifi functionality to it. Plan to buy another hi-quality adsl modem but for the time being, i just wanna buy a wireless router but in doubt which is the best. of course i can google it but also need experience/advice from real people also

Below is some criteria for the thing:

BUDGET: BELOW RM200

PREFERRED SPECIFICATION:
1)Standalone Wireless router with 4 port switch and 1 wan port.
2)Wireless G is enough.
3)Has advanced feature such as ip/mac address filter.
4)Detachable antenna
5)Warranty more than 1 year (if any)

REJECTED TYPE:
1) D-LINK is definitely a no-no (due to bad experience, about 4 years ago, my D-LINK modem router hanged while dcc in mIRC),

Last week, my friend browse around http://www.mudah.com.my and found a Sony vaio ad.
and then Last Friday (31/10/2008), my friend just got cheated by this guy who made the ad by giving him RM800 deposit!!!!:

NAME (as he claimed): ABDUL MUTALIB BIN AHMAD
FAKE IC NO: 7607405-13-5673 (7607405 is 7 digit, thats obviously wrong, haiya )
HP NO: 019-4531335
ADDRESS: NO.240, Lorong 2A, Jalan Setia Raja Tabuan, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak.

He also gave 2nd contact person and hp no:
NAME: MAZUIN BIN AHMAD
HP NO: 012-8924465

He gave my friend a fake ic copy, damn!!
He photoshopped the ic..obviously look fake!!
unfortunate for my friend, didn't consult me first about this.

At first, he ordered my fren to bank in his account:
Account no: 111057101917 (MAYBANK)
Account Holder: ABDUL MUTALIB BIN AHMAD (i checked with maybank2u, it is really ABDUL MUTALIB BIN AHMAD's )

Then, he said his account got credit card problem, then gave his proclaimed cousin account:
Account no: 161051413009
Account holder: ISMANDI ISMAIL (checked correct with maybank2u)

After he got the RM800 deposit, he never answered my friend call.
There is one time, a boy answered the call and the boy said "Dia tak de, dah pegi masjid"
Hmm, cheated people but also have time to go to mosque, damn u!!!
