Operation:

Acer 5745G Keyboard Problem

Hi All,

I spilled some sweet barley on my acer aspire 5745g past 2 days...i shut it down immediately and pulled out the plug. then i wiped all the excess water i could see and blow dry using hair dryer with cool air. Then waited 2 days to switch it on.

The good news is, everything seem to work fine...i am using it now to type this.

The bad news is...my awesome keyboard is now sticky like clay especially the space bar and also having some annoying clicking sound whenever i type =.="

Can anyone help me out? what should i do sifu? How to disassemble the keyboard if needed? there is a connector attached to the keyboard and i dun know how to remove the whole keyboard with the attached connector @@"

Hi Bros,

I need some of your guidance on buying a laptop...will be going to lowyat this sunday.

I want to have a laptop with some decent performance, mainly using it for design works (Graphics & 3D Rendering), moderate gaming also and the rest should be fine ^^.

I see that there are debates out there about i5 & i7 but majority says that i5 rules in gaming currently though. There is also another problem about OS i am trying to figure out, if i plan to use 4gb-8gb ram, i read somewhere that Win7HP32bit only supports up to 3gb ram max right?

my budget is around RM3.5K max

Looking through the threads, i have chosen some models with specs that is within my budget range:

Lenovo Y460, i5 430M + ATi HD5650

Asus N82Jv, i5 520M + Nvidia GT 335M (Would definitely love this if i can get a better price ^^)
Asus A42Jr, i5 520M + ATi HD5470 (Have been looking through for the price but can't find-does this exist? )

Acer Aspire 5745G-724G50 (not sure of the price but most probably over budget, any insights? Also heard of overheat probs)

Dell Vostro 3700,i5 520M + Nvidia® GT 330M (heard a lot of complaints about product care issues >.<)

If there is any new updated gigs i can look into, i would really appreciate any guidance and recommendation. Hope to hear from you guys soon ^^
