This is the code given in the book to find gcd. I tried to modified it into the code below.
Is the below code correct? and is it more effective?

For C++ the when we assign numerical value with digits to an integer variable, it is not like maths?
eg: 7. 25 is 7, 7.99 is still 7, can anyone explain why?

why this still can be compiled with x=3l but not other alphabet such as 3a, 3b, ...... 3z but only 3l ??

i read a way to combine all variable together in a single line, meaning
int x; int y; int z; int .... to be combined in a way int ............; in a line
but forgot how to do it. anyone know?
