S.Korea Man Covid19+ visit 3 clubs

Covid-19: S.Korea braces for second wave after club-hopping man contracts virus
SOUTH KOREA
Friday, 08 May 202011:59 AM MYT

People wearing face masks walk through an underground shopping area in Seoul on May 6, 2020. - AFP

SEOUL (The Straits Times/ANN): South Korea is bracing for an "inevitable" second wave of the coronavirus, even as the country eases social distancing amid a slowdown in new infections.

A new case of local infection - a 29-year-old man who went club-hopping - has already triggered alarm.

But health officials say they will be better placed to combat the virus the next time round, given their success in containing the outbreak so far.

Only four new cases were reported on Thursday (May 7) - a far cry from the peak of 909 on Feb 29 when mass testing was conducted on over 200,000 members of a religious group at the centre of the first local outbreak.

The total infection tally to date is 10,810, with 256 deaths and 1,135 people still undergoing treatment. The rest have recovered.

Health Ministry spokesman Son Young-rae said at an online briefing Thursday that a second wave is "inevitable" given the extent of the pandemic that originated in China.

There are now over 3.8 million confirmed cases all over the world, with the United States, Spain and Italy among the most severely hit.

Responding to a question on how prepared South Korea was for another outbreak, Son said the country's surveillance system and screening capability would be able to identify a potential spread linked to a confirmed case almost immediately.

He added that they would also be able to conduct contact tracing more effectively and block the spread of the virus. Only 5 per cent of confirmed cases came from unidentified sources, he pointed out.

"A second outbreak will be inevitable at some point, but it will not be like the first wave that saw an explosive surge," said Son.

"Given our social distancing policy, the outbreak will be contained in much smaller clusters. The speed of infection will also be slower."

Tuesday marked the last day of a stringent six-week-long social distancing campaign that saw the closure of public facilities such as parks and libraries, and entertainment venues including cinemas and bars.

Concern is already rising over possible new clusters forming over the recent long weekend due to three back-to-back public holidays from April 30 to May 5, as hundreds of thousands of people travelled domestically.

It could take up to two weeks for cases to emerge, given the incubation period of the virus.

Health officials have constantly urged people to remain vigilant and abide by "everyday life quarantine" rules such as washing hands for 30 seconds and ventilating one's house more than twice a day.

A case of local infection has already caused jitters.

A 29-year-old man from Yongin city, south-east of Seoul, who travelled from his hometown with three friends last Thursday and then went club-hopping with one of them in Seoul last Friday, tested positive for the virus Wednesday.

He was the only local infection among the four new cases announced Thursday, and the first in four days. The others were all imported cases.

The friend who went travelling and clubbing with him, a 31-year-old resident of Anyang city, has also tested positive, according to Anyang officials. Details will only be announced Friday.

Authorities said the 29-year-old man is believed to have come into contact with up to 2,000 people over the six-day break. Contact tracing is underway, and 43 of his colleagues have tested for the virus.

He had travelled to Seoul, Gapyeong, Chuncheon and Hongcheon last Thursday and visited five clubs in Seoul's nightlife district, Itaewon, from Friday night into the wee hours of Saturday. He developed a high fever and diarrhoea late Saturday and went to a hospital the next day.

Three of the clubs he visited were identified - King Club, Queen and Trunk, all of which were known as gay bars. King Club confirmed his visit on social media and said it had complied with the government's quarantine measures such as checking temperatures, asking visitors to wear masks, and keeping a record of visitors.

Health authorities said he did not travel overseas recently and had no known contact with any confirmed cases.

Until a vaccine is developed, the coronavirus can keep reappearing, warned Son of the Health Ministry.

"The government is prepared to face a second wave. The key is how to contain the outbreak more efficiently while leading a normal life. " - The Straits Times/Asia News Network

https://www.thestar.com.my/news/regional/20...contracts-virus

All you need to do is apply.

“Of course families can travel together. All must fill in their details for those over the age of 16, ” he said at a press conference here Sunday (May 3).

When asked if the police would conduct checks, he said that if a car was stopped, the police have ways to confirm if a person was registered for interstate travel.

“We want to maintain the flow of traffic, ” he added.

Comm Huzir also said that the travel period between May 7 and May 10 was strictly for those who had been stuck at their hometowns and wish to return to the city.

“We will take action against those who take advantage of this period, ” he said.

For users without smartphones, manual applications will be allowed but only with prior appointments at their respective police stations.

“You can download the form on our official Facebook page and fill in the forms beforehand. Then call ahead and make your appointment. This is to avoid crowds gathering at the stations, ” Comm Huzir said.

To date, over a million users have downloaded the Gerak Malaysia app, with 462,405 users applying for interstate travel as of May 1.

According to the police, those who have registered for interstate travel are able to do so only on set dates, according to their states.

On May 7, only those from Kuala Lumpur can travel.

People in Perak, Johor and Kelantan will be able to move on May 8.

Those in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Melaka and Pahang are allowed to travel on May 9.

Finally, for those in Selangor, Negri Sembilan and Terengganu, travel will be allowed on May 10.

“This is why we have the registration period so that we can analyse the data.

“If you look at the schedule, Sabah and Sarawak are not listed.
How China Lied to the whole world

How China "LIED" to the world!

*China:* OK there's a new virus. From now on no one moves around. If you go out, you must wear a mask. Nationwide lockdown and quarantine policies implemented.

*The West:* Don't trust anything these f**ing commies say! It's just a flu! They are trying to control everyone's life! There's no need for masks.

*Asia:* Let's take measures, wear masks and control frontiers

*China:* Start building hospitals so the medical system doesn't get overwhelmed.

*The West:* It's a concentration camp! They are murdering people out there! They are untrustworthy!

*Asia:* We keep our distance and security high

*China:* We are experiencing a surge of patients and this virus is super infectious via air and physical contact. We are also experiencing shortage on medical supplies and medical practitioners. Pulling everything from the country to Wuhan.

*The West:* Look how backward they are, not even having enough PPE for their doctors and nurses. They are clearly wrong about the method of transmission, that's why they are making everyone wear masks. They've even locked down the country and stopped the economy. What a bunch of idiots.

*Whole Asia:* Are those western countries gonna do something?

*China:* Numbers are reducing in China. People are slowly getting back to work now.

*The West:* F**ing liar! We are seeing numbers in Italy and it clearly doesn't match data from China! Millions of Chinese people must have died! It's still spreading!

*Whole Asia:* Why do they say masks are useless?

*China:* Dude, why are things getting out of control out there? Where are your hospitals and why are you not in total lockdown? Were you just sitting there pointing fingers at me for three months, and did nothing?

*The west:* You commies never told us how dangerous this virus is! You've been giving us false data the whole time!!!

*China:* I don't understand. If you never trusted me, and when I said it's a big deal, you insisted it's actually a small flu, why do you maintain that millions of people must have died in China? If you think the number of deaths must be very high, doesn't that indicate it's a dangerous virus and you should be prepared? How could you believe millions of people have died, but at the same time not recognising it's dangerous?

*the West:* It's only a big deal in a backward country like yours, where people are poor and unhygienic, where the medical system is still in the 50's, where the government covers up figures and doesn't alarm people [as to] how dangerous it is! It shouldn't affect advanced countries like us!

*China:* But it is with you and killing your people now!!! Do something about it so you can still save lives!!!

*The West:* Not before we found everything we can blame on you!!! It's too late for us to do something now, people will just die and eventually we'll have herd immunity, but you must take the full responsibility for it!

*Now*

*World:* China help us. We need masks, ventilators, PPE etc.

*China:* To the best of my ability, I'll send PPE and medical personnel.

*The west:* You helped out of ulterior political motives to expand your influence ! Your numbers are fake. Tons of people died in your country. Our superior system technology and medicine are the proof that this virus couldn't be beaten with such low death numbers.

*Whole Asia:* What about all our numbers? much lower than China?

*England:* I'm going to sue you for billions of dollars and make you take responsability for all that mess.

So today i was contacted by someone who says they wrote a full version of this text. Im happy to share him for those who wanna
You can see the Full Orginal text from Leon Lin,https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1907278522749294&id=100004014946448

Stay safe everyone🙏😊

Pro vs Con of Moratorium

So basically will you guys continue paying or stop???

Worked out the calculation with some help from property and bank friends.

Example
Loan 500,000
Interest 4%
30 years loan
Monthly installment Rm2387

6 month moratorium saving = Rm 14,322

Assuming that you have paid for 1 year already.. Then your next installment will be approx RM2434 for remaining 29 years..

I will save RM14,322 for future emergency uses as job security for now does not translate to job security in 1 year time.. I see lotsa retrenchment will happen next year once Covid19 is over due to dowtrend of economy.

And that Rm47s almost like 1 time out for movie at TGV for twin seat which i can cut down

HSBC wont compound loan interest

KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 — The interest for conventional loans as well as profit on Islamic financing will not be compounded during a moratorium period for retail and SME customers, HSBC Malaysia announced tonight.

HSBC Malaysia comprises HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad and HSBC Amanah Malaysia Berhad.

In a statement, HSBC Bank Malaysia CEO Stuart Milne, said, “We empathise with everyone who is currently going through a challenging time here in Malaysia due to the Covid-19 outbreak and therefore we have taken the decision for retail and SME customers — both the interest for conventional loans as well as profit on Islamic financing will not be compounded during the moratorium period, we hope this proactive effort will help ease the financial burden of our retail and SME customers.”

He added that this extra measure goes above and beyond the loans/financing deferment measures announced by Bank Negara Malaysia today where interest will still be accrued and compounded for conventional loans (excluding hire purchase loans) but profit from Islamic financing is accrued but not compounded.

The moratorium applies only to non-impaired accounts and all loans/financing outstanding as at April 1, 2020, Milne added.

As for corporate customers, Milne said HSBC Malaysia will review any request on a case-by-case basis.

HSBC Malaysia said more information and details on the measure will be available by April 1.

https://www.malaymail.com/news/malaysia/202...tail-sm/1850212

My solution to jawi controversy

This issue is so overblown by both parties.

My solution is damm easy... Create new university, lets call it UUSM (uni untuk semua malaysia). Free entry to all from SK and SMK (without seeing skin colour) / priority given to those with good extracurricular (jawi for example)

With time i am sure those that come from moderate chinese families will switch from sjkc to sjk.

Kill 3 bird with 1 stone

Increase nation unity
Solve education issue (no issue with jawi, asking for uitm to open for all)
If success maybe one day SJKC will just die by itself and malaysian will unite more
You never know new tuition sylabus might be jawi and non might perform better in this subject

[WTA] After Dip. in Accounting in TARC

I am completing my Dip. in Accounting in TARC pretty soon and I don't know what to do afterwards. Seeking a job with only a Dip. qualification is a no-no for me. I still want to continue my studies (hopefully till degree + acca) but, i dont know where to continue. I don't know if I should continue with the Adv. Dip that TARC offers, but at the same time I feel like I should continue somewhere else (but I don't know where)

What do you guys think?
Is my MB dead?! Help! Eeep!

Actually so long already I wanted to fix my PC but because of my exam and etc, I let my PC be because I use my laptop most of the time. Now that I am on break, I tried to fix my PC but I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! My PC would not start or boot. The monitor screen is just blank whereas the monitor lcd just blinks.

My CPU at first had no sign of life. No power light, CD rom light does not blink, HDD light does not blink. After removing the parts and put it back, the PC finally turns on!

Then after 30 minutes of what seemed like fun, the PC died again. So I tried to restart, and this time no lights on CD ROM, HDD or Power light (thats in front of the CPU) I tried removing the power cables and putting it back, and this time HDD light only blink. I tried doing it again and again (Even switching RAM slots) and its not getting better. Sometimes the CD ROM light will just blink, sometimes no light at all.

The only thing that is the same is the fan runs everytime I turn it on. So that means PSU is OK right? Please dont tell me my MB dead

Please SIFU..
Prices for HDD

I need to know the average price of a HDD for Compaq Presario 2000. My mum is so in love with her laptop that she wants me to make it faster because it is so slow. The technician told her that we need to replace the HDD because its slow and its making awful noises.
Also, can anyone tell me how to make this already slow laptop faster? Should I add in RAM or something?
Do reply.

Thanks.
