SOS on BB Bold

Guys,

Just to share with you guys. Something happened to my Bold today (well, it happened before but quite a few times today). Since this morning, I encountered a few times where my phone line were suddenly in SOS mode. Then, I have to turn off all connection and turn it on again and it is back to normal. Suddenly, a few hours later, it happened again. This time it shows 'Identification Failed' (If I am not mistaken). So, I did the same thing again. Later in the afternoon, it was back t SOS. I didn't touch or 'picit-picit' anything on the phone. Quite curious, I went to maxis to let them check on it. Upon arriving there, I was informed that there were 12 people on line for the Blackberry counter.

Cant wait any longer, I approach the technician guy and he and his colleague, telling him the problem that I had. He straight away ask for my mobile number and without asking much, he opted to replace my sim card with a new one. Now my phone is back to normal (yippee!! ). Thanks to the good customer service of Maxis. They were always helpful..

Anybody have the same issues?

Greetings,

Just got my BB Bold last week and still learning the functions and features of it. But, first of all, it's the best phone I ever had...

Just have some questions though:

1. Since BB Bold is supported with wifi features, if the wifi is active then the BIS will be disable? Is that right? Let say if I am on wifi, and using the Blackberry chat, it will use the wifi services rather that the BIS that we subscribe from our telcos, am I correct?

2. At one point, I come across a situation. When I open the manage connection item, then to enable the wifi, it is not turned on even a few times I click on it. What I have to do is I have to remove the battery and restart it all over again and it is ok. So, from then, I just leave my wifi on. Anybody come across this issue?

Any advice and help is highly appreciated..
