connected to WIFI but no internet

Hey ppl out there,

Yesterday when I ON my laptop I connect to my home WIFI but cant online! What is the problem? Under the Internet Connection properties, It shows my computer connected to the WIFI but not connected to the Internet. What is wrong? I tried it even in other WIFI hotspot area and still the same result. Getting frustrated, I tried a direct connection using LAN cable, but still cannot @_@..

Any ideas?

Yesterday when I was turning on my ZyXEL Prestige 600 series(wireless). I was unable to connect to the internet. Im not sure if the splitter prob or wire prob or the modem itself. I have tried connecting the modem line directly into the wall socket thus avoiding the use of splitter but still cannot go online. So does this mean it is not my splitter?

I do notice that on my modem, that the power light and W/Lan light is on only. So does this mean anything? Help!! no internet at home.. =(

Setting up Wireless Router

Hi people. Recently I got a wireless router ZyXEL Prestige 600 (P-660HW-T1) from one of my friend and tried to set it up on my home streamyx account but I do not know how to set up the thing. I also do not have any drivers for the router and tried downloading it off ZyXEL website but couldnt, it said the page has some problems ><, .
Is there anyone out there that can be kind enough to teach me how to go about? Thanks a mill...

How to format computer without CD?

I got a toshiba m300. decided to format the computer soon because it is giving hell lot of trouble. But the problem is, when i buy the laptop i was not given any Windows Vista CD. It has the OS pre installed and comes togather with the lappy. So how do i format the computer?

Hi,
I am encountering this problem. I just simply could not access the display settings in Vista. I want to change the screen size or change themes also cannot. When i right click, personalize and click on display settings, nothing come out.
I experience this problem after i tried to change some settings in system32 files (uxtheme.dll, themeui.dll) attempting to apply some themes and failed.
Do any of you guys can help me with my prob?

i just got an instant msg from my friend in MSN and it sounded really convincing asking me to click a website. Once i clicked... i realise it was a virus... have u guys came across this ? how do u delete the virus? I really dont know what the virus will do but i prefer not to find out

i would like to ask is there any Tarcians that has finised their Diploma and enter overseas Universities to pursue their degree? I am currently studying Marketing (Diploma) and would be graduating this year~
My parents keep urging me to apply for Universities overseas but i just cant find a University that accepts me.

i was infected with the heart.exe virus.. here is the log file.
I just download it and that check those with "heart.exe" and press fixed it button. But the virus is still there. How to get rid of it completely? and what if the virus infected my thumbdrive??

Memory card - unknown format!

To anyone outhere. I seriously need your help.
i put my memory card in the card reader and forgot to *remove safetly* after viewing the photos and off the computer. When i on my com back, my camera memory card says.
-Memory card require formatiing.- Than i click cancel. A error pops up saying -memory card unable to be read.-

Inside the memory card got alot of my precious photo that i really treasure very very much ...

thumbdrive infected with virus

guys, i have a problem with my thumdrive. It has some strange files inside which i did not put. I think it is virus because everytime i tried to delete it, it will reappear again. DO anyone know how to fix this??

i am unable to format my computer! the reason for me to format is that win/system32/config/system is corrupted. So i plan to reformat my computer.
But when i put in the boot CD the computer will hang at boot screen.
any1 can pls help me ar??
