On more serious cases of tarantula bite symptoms includes nausea, headaches, swelling and aching at the inflicted site, this may go on for hours, or days, or weeks, or months. unless you have a deadly allergy to the venom you'll be OK.
First thing to do if you get bitten, if you were bitten or sting by an insect before and know that you have an allergy towards insects bite and sting, CALL FOR AN AMBULANCE OR GET SOMEONE TO DRIVE YOU TO A CLINIC OR HOSPITAL! The victim must not attempt to drive or ride for treatment alone!
First Aid:
Clean the bite site with soap and water and protect against infection. Skin exposures to the hairs are managed by removing the hairs with tape. There is a risk of tetanus from a bite, so be sure your tetanus vaccination is up-to-date.

Urticating hair are very tiny hair that tarantula flick from their abdomen to wear off threats, these hair have no chemical or somesort but they are super fine and are able to get in to the pores of your skin and cause you to have an itching and burning sensation, if this happen to you use masking tape and apply it at the affected area and pull it out, this will help pull out some of the hair at least. These can also get in your eyes or even worst respiratory system, in such cases make sure to wash the affected area with lot of water and seek medical attention.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tarantula on the WORLD WIDE WEB

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Phong's tarantulas (Not up to date but very informative)
Tarantulas.com
Amazing Tarantulas! - Giving big, hairy spiders a good name.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tarantulas Jargon

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

T(s) = Tarantula(s)
Sling(s) = Spiderling(s)
Sp = Species
LS = Leg Span
BS = Body Span
Cric(s) = Cricket(s)
WC = Wild Caught
CB = Captive Bred
MET = Malaysian Earth Tiger tarantula (Cyriopagopus schioedtei or Cyriopagopus thorelli)
PZB = Pink Zebra Beauty (Eupalaestrus campestratus)
OBT = Orange Baboon Tarantula/ Orange Bity Thingy (Pterinochilus murinus)
GBB = Green Bottle Blue (Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens)
Pokie = Tree dwelling tarantulas from the genus Poecilotheria, found in India and Sri Lanka

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
