Greetings,

I am looking for an AIO colour inkjet printer, which has good printing resolution, reasonable scanning, copy function and most important the printer should be durable. My budget is around RM 250. Please do recommend me a good printer. In fact, i plan to upgrade the printer with CISS.

Printing usage: Use for printing thesis (colour pages), photos

The printer i'm considering is Brother DCP-145C, RM 199. Anyone used this before? How is it?

Problem description:

Hi,

I have upgraded my streamyx to 2.0MB but my modem detects it as Downstream Rate: 1024 kbps/ Upstream Rate: 512 kbps only. Just upgraded the firmware, hard reset the modem but its still the same.
Speedtest also shows download speed: 800++ kbps, upload: 400++ kbps

I have used Linksys Live Chat and managed to get a RMA, but unfortunately, the shop i bought, don't have stock for this model. (Need to wait for 3-4 weeks and requested warranty fee). Any users face this problem before and how did you guys manage to solve this? If can solve this problem, i wouldn't want to trouble myself in RMA and be 'internetless' for 3-4 weeks.

Questions to those who did RMA...

1)Can i send RMA to other shops that have stock of this model?
2)Can i get a replacement newer model of this type of modem?

Missing Seller

Wanted to ask your opinions

Today ard 4pm, i deal with one seller and reached a deal to buy LB Essential Oil. I did bookmark the page in garage sales. Then, at night, suddenly the page were missing and i have used search function and couldn't find ANY post from this seller. How come it was like this? He told me that he will miscall me and arrange COD tomorrow.

P.S: In the evening, i search what other items this seller sells (jeans, some badminton racket) but at night search, all missing. Kinda strange. I search because, he just joined yesterday and had no post before. Luckily, i didn't do any money transaction. I pm him my hp no...that's all.

Here's another 'golden' question being asked. I want some opinions from sifus here. My rig as below. I have chosen some PSU to replace me current CM Extreme 500W. Which one better?

Intel CPU speed E6550

Hi guys,

I just checked my CPU temperature and i noticed that my CPU speed was ~2000Mhz, instead of 2333 Mhz. How come the reading was like that? I am using Intel C2D 6550. What should i do to change the speed to its original speed? I tried using EasyTune by Gigabyte but no success as it automatically rechanged back to 2000Mhz. What should i do? Hope that all the sifus can help me.

Opening online streaming site like You Tube, buffering done but when play video, no audio came out. (tested with other online streaming sites, same issue also) My pc sound was ok, tested. Tried another house computer, also same thing happened. Does anyone had this problem before. What should i do? My IP: 60.48.170. XXX. Streamyx problem?

I just applied for Streamyx and had to wait for it to be jumpered, already 6 days passed. How come it took so long for TM to jumper it? Had anyone faced this? [or the jumpering guy cuti: ] I already called TM twice and my agent did also and they said my telephone was in the agenda list... and need to wait somemore..

Hi,

I am a noob in wireless networking but from these forums, i read about adding security features like disable SCID, MAC filtering, limit DHCP and others. My questions:

1)After adding these measures, what should i do to add additional computers on the wireless network? Should i undo all these measures as the network is "invincible"?
2)How do i add e.g. laptops to the secured wireless network? (Plug & play like in hotspot or need to enter certain passwords?)
3)Can two computers use same MAC address to join the network? (as i read in some articles that programmes like Netstumbler can show the MAC address and hackers can gain this MAC to join the network)
4)What are the most common security features that 'gurus' can recommend for beginners like me?

Hope that some gurus in networking can help.

I would like to get streamyx, but i don't have fixed line yet. I have several questions and hopefully some experts can answer:

1)Can the authorized agents setup and register the fixed line for us? What documents needed?
2)I plan to fix wireless router, D-Link DSL 2640T for 2 desktop PC internet connection and what are the recommended wireless adapter?
3)Is the speed for wireless connection the same with wired connection? Would it be slower?
4)What is the current or coming promotion for streamyx?

P.S to agents:
Please do quote me all cost to setup this streamyx, the minimum contract... and do you all provide installation?

Computer can't be started

Hi,

Yesterday my computer got prob. It can't be started or boot up. Once i switch on the main power, the CPU fan and the other fans were automatically on. (Usually, i need to switch on in the casing before the system can be on). Then, the computer will be auto on and off, and continues without reaching the boot up screen. Can any sifus inform me what are the problems? Thanks in advance
