RAM problems

I have some question about RAM
My pc use a dual channel ram.
Its a 800Mhz, 2048MB x 2 ddr2 = 4gigs of ram
Now one stick dah rosak, tinggal satu je yang pakai
My pc boots normally, but when in desktop it start to slow...just a simple task, tekan kat windows button je...very slow, take ages to just to show the menu
Is this normal?
Im using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

saya ada problem nak setup modem baru saya ni,
sebelum ni pakai Dlink DSL-2640T dah burn kena kilat,
dengan built in network adapter burn,
jadi saya beli network card baru brand Dlink (model tak ingat) & TP-LINK TD-8901G,
bila nak setup,network card tak detect modem ni a.k.a cable unplugged padahal dah pasang cable,kat modem pon tak menyala lampu port 1,2,3,4 (saya cucuk kat port 1)
bila dah jadi macam ni,nak setup pun dah susah...
saya try cucuk kat modem Dlink yang rosak tu elok pulak dia...

Greetings all LYN members,including to the "otai-otai" in case modding .The title says it all..just finished my modding today.

The case i use is COOLER MASTER CENTURION 5.

I've been thinking to mod this case because want to give my new & shiny mobo a new house...

right now i'm using ACER ASPIRE M1110 <-tak ingat model...it's amd...athlon X2 4000+ damn cannot overclock it...buy a new mobo,giv it a new & bigger house,do some port & polishing (????!!!) ...walaaa

So enjoy the pics below & let me know what do u guys think about it

BTW,my dad buy this case for his pentium 3 pc since he buy a new pc,not using it...

Tool i've used :
-Hammer (use to remove the rivet with nails kes tak sabar2 mau modding)
-Screw driver
-jigsaw (company punya,also potong the "see through" window kat sana)

To make this blinged & shiny case i've use:
-Anchor #30 black spray
-Anchor **55 orange fluorescent spray
-Anchor #1 clear spray
-sand paper (3 type i used,the "kasar" one i forget,then grade 1000,finishing grade 2000 to smooth it

Budget around rm2000 to build a complete PC

-give me the specs (mobo,cpu,ram,psu)
-casing no need coz i have one...
-gc also have one...ambik kat pc lagi satu (sapphire hd3850 512mb ddr3)
-monitor dont need

how about this

mobo-asus P5Q SE
cpu-intel E7400 (something like that...it's a new cpu,have been reviewed on max-it on august)
ram-dunno...how about 2gbx2gb of Geil Orange Dragon pc800?
psu also dunno...cooler master extreme power 500W maybe?
can add gc also...

need help from you pro's & guru's out there

How much is intel Q6600 right now?this month...harga dia berapa eh?

is there any msi mobo like P7N Zilent that use intel chipset?(i want that zalman fan...can cut budget for cpu cooler..hehehe )

P7N use nFORCE right?i dont wan nFORCE...tak nak SLI...Nak Crossfire...ATI lagi PaWEr

actually i want to build a new gaming rig...
my budget is about RM4000++
help me to get the best part from the :
-cpu (intel Q6600)
-mobo
-graphic card
-power supply
-hard drive
-ram
-etc(cooling for future project like overclocking...heh)
