Playing multiplayer games online

Its been many years since I play multiplayer fps games. Back then even with streamyx, its always lag and almost impossible to play.

Anyway, nowadays with Steam, its easier to buy games and I find that steam have some good offer especially for older games like CS Source or UT 3. I was also a fan of Battlefield 2, thinking of getting BF Bad Company

But how is the lag issue nowadays? Do you think it is possible for me to join those public server online and play?

I'm a casual player, so its not practical for me to pay money and subscribe to those private ones anyway

Thanks

BTW if you have any recommendation for casual fps like me, pls share as well. tq

Safe to buy hard disk from online?

Hi, I'm still a newbie in online shopping, so I want to hear you guys opinion on this.

I've bought some hardware from lyn seller before, they all come with their own box and are just wrapped with paper. But the boxes are safe enough to protect the item, though usually the edge already "kemek" when arrive

But what about hard disk? Since they dont have any box, and hard disk are sensitive to damage. How do seller usually wrap them, if I buy 1 hard disk only?

Thanks

How long for new CPU to reach our market?

I'm ready to buy all componenets for a new system, plan everything out, except for the CPU.

Core i7 920 is in the market now, but I don't know what is the possibility that I will end up with the C0 stepping instead of the newer D0 stepping.

The i7 930 is supposed to be base on D0 stepping, but I can't seems to find it in Malaysia market despite the chip release for sale on 28 FEB, where even australia retailer already have them stock up for weeks before that

My question here is that, roughly how long would I need to wait for a new proc to arrive

And is it worth the wait? Or should I just buy a 920 now and enjoy my new system right away

Thanks
