What is Vendor Letter of Undertaking

I would like to get some advice here what is vendor letter of undertaking? I'm selling my house and now I had already received my redemption statement. I contacted the buyer and discussed with him to settle the redemption sum as soon as possible. He required me (my lawyer) to prepare the vendor letter of undertaking first. He told me that this letter is similar to bank letter of undertaking (but is not the same letter) but I'm not really sure what is that. My lawyer did not explain to me, their service is pretty lousy! So I would like to see if somebody here could tell me something about it. Thank you so much!

Update: I had already asked my buyer and he said it is letter of undertaking to refund but the amount need to put the exact purchase price. May I know what is that? Thank you so much!

jQuery issue: how to sort date

I have a list of date which I need to sort ascending. This is the html:

It is basically look like a table with 2 column, first column is the <label> and second column is . When I click at the sort button, the date will automatically sort ascending based on date format.

I had included the datepicker plugin in my html, Im not sure whether I need or not but just in case. Could some one just help me to figure out how to sort?
