Why bank not accept walk in loan application?

Hi all,

I have experience selling my car like 3 times direct to buyers in the past 15 years. Simple and straightforward process, buyer apply loan, i do puspakom inspection and the rest settled by buyer’s bank till the end including settlement of my loan if any.

This week i managed to struck a deal with a buyer as I decided to sell my current car. When buyer approaches Public Bank for loan application, he was rejected and asked by the bank to apply loan via any used car dealer. Buyer told me and I was totally confused what is happening with banks right now as i might have missed some recent developments within the local banking industries for used car loan.

Later i found out not all banks reject walk-in, some bank still accept but priority of loan approval will be given to those using agents and the bank will not involve in any contra settlement for seller’s outstanding loan and not involve in any transfer name process. So basically banks are pushing customers to simply go to any used car dealer to apply loan and do all transfer works and pay these “agents” RM2-3k or even more.

Appreciate if someone kind enough with similar experience whether as buyer or seller to advise me if any reliable or reasonable “used car agents” to recommend around Cheras area? Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

Appreciate if someone can share any experiences regarding shipping from US to Malaysia via USPS First Class International.

I’ve searched previous history and seems like many people are having same situation whereby the last update in tracking shown something like below, but not sure if eventually the parcel was received or how to go about it.

Your item departed a transfer airport in KUALA LUMPUR INT'L, MALAYSIA on August 18, 2019 at 4:30 pm. The item is currently in transit.

I’ve made report with Pos Malaysia and they called to inform that my package actually have not arrived Malaysia despite the latest USPS tracking status as above.

Tried to contact USPS via email but not much result. It have been 6 weeks since last update and appreciate if someone with similar experience can share your thoughts.
